I wanted somewhere to stop, just off the M5 to break up a long journey from Surrey to Devon. What a find! Wonderful location just on the seafront but best of all was the breakfasts. Scrambled egg on a bagel with bacon is highly recommended as well as the full and little English. Very tasty. The staff were very welcoming... More

We enjoyed an excellent lunch, food was good and the service was exceptional. With a member of our party being in a wheelchair, they really put themselves out to accommodate us in spite of them being extremely busy. Very lively atmosphere (was a bit noisy but not a major problem) Our first visit but won't be our last. Well worth... More

We enjoyed some tasty french toast with bacon and maple syrup. Breakfast was served until 11 am and came with a hot drink. It was nice to sit out in the sun and enjoy breakfast.

Returning to Clevedon after several years , we were deligted to find this cafe now served Sunday lunch. Ordering a not inexpensive beef diner, we were initially faced with our roast served on a wooden platter, a little risky when gravy is involved, apparently they had run out of dinner plates? We complained and our meals were removed and returned... More

Hi there.. I am very disappointed to read your comments about our very popular Sunday roast.. We do sometimes present our food on boards (with a moat) as it is very much the "style of the moment"! I am sorry that you did not appreciate this and I am very glad that my front of house team dealt with it... More

Nothing nicer than to sit on a sun drenched terrace with a fresh brewed cup of tea. And enjoy some homemade cake and very tasty lemon and I believe rosemary shortbread. Well worth a visit. We return time after time because we know we can get a good cuppa and fresh homemade cake. Usually the homemade caramel shortbread is to... More

A lovely place to have a delicious cream tea. Friendly staff, quick service and great food! There was plenty of seating inside and out.

Pity about the cracked milk jug, the dirty tea cups and no sugar. Not that anybody came back to ask about our experience; much less when paying the bill - grab the money it's time for the staff to go home. So did we.

Hi there.. I am so sorry to read your brief comments on our cafe... It is certainly never our intention to make our customers feel neglected or hurried, and as you can hopefully see from our many many glowing reviews about customer service..it is not usually the case. I will speak to my front of house team and the new... More

We have eaten at No 5 a few times. When we ate indoors, we werent so pleased. The real attraction of the place is when you can sit outside, facing the estuary across Clevedon's sea front, watching the world go by

We arrived late afternoon on a sunny Saturday in July and they had been very busy. We asked for a cream tea and had the last two scones. I am always fussy with my cream teas and have had some pretty rough ones in the past but this one was excellent. Two large warm scones, a pot piled high with... More
