Visited today (22nd August ) for just hot drinks plus a toasted tea cake (plenty of butter with the tea cake). Staff friendly & helpful. Best decaf coffee I've ever had in a restaurant, strong and full of flavour. Even impressed with the singing coming from the kitchen. Well worth a visit.

We live in Clevedon and often wander to the seafront for breakfast. The first place we tried was 5, but not wishing to put all our eggs in one basket, have tried all the cafés along there. We now don't go anywhere other than 5! Yes it appears more expensive but remember the breakfasts include tea or coffee and remember... More

I pre-booked - which I think would be essential seeing how busy the place was.. However all the staff were courteous and anything we ordered came in good time. Food was excellent rare roast beef in thick slabs! Well cooked vegetables rounded off an excellent meal - the only comment my partner thought was the plates could have been pre-heated... More

Had been to Bristol for the balloon fiesta and it was our 34 wedding anniversary. Left Bristol at 8.30am and headed for Clevedon. Came across the first cafe on the beach and it had begun to rain. It was just after 9. The cafe was already busy and there were tables with signs on saying the tables were booked. However... More

Only popped in for a light snack and cup of tea but nice tables on the front looking at the sea and most welcoming staff. Food was good and the prices reasonable

We got to clevedon at 10 to 12 on a Monday and this was the first restaurant we came to. Quite busy despite being so early in the week and the day. A good sign. We ordered tea for two which came in a pot with jug of milk but no hot water so second cup was stewed. I had... More

As you commented, we are very busy due to having a fantastic reputation for serving the most inventive and creative food in the area. We take pride in the fact that everything is prepared in our kitchen with love and attention to detail with each dish that we serve. Our prices are competitive and reflect the quality of our produce... More

I wanted somewhere to stop, just off the M5 to break up a long journey from Surrey to Devon. What a find! Wonderful location just on the seafront but best of all was the breakfasts. Scrambled egg on a bagel with bacon is highly recommended as well as the full and little English. Very tasty. The staff were very welcoming... More

We enjoyed an excellent lunch, food was good and the service was exceptional. With a member of our party being in a wheelchair, they really put themselves out to accommodate us in spite of them being extremely busy. Very lively atmosphere (was a bit noisy but not a major problem) Our first visit but won't be our last. Well worth... More

We enjoyed some tasty french toast with bacon and maple syrup. Breakfast was served until 11 am and came with a hot drink. It was nice to sit out in the sun and enjoy breakfast.
