When we arrived, we were seated pretty quickly, but then to get them to take our drink & food order, that took half an hour. We then waited another 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and then the food was bog standard, could have done a better job in a bedsit. Another hour later, our main course arrived. Tasteless,... We had a fantastic meal at monsoon. The food was amazingly fresh, spicy and tasty. The service was great. If you wan fast good then it's not for you as the food is cooked from scratch and you can taste it. I shall most definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

I was in the area on business & Visited this restaurant for a meal based on previous reviews. Having traveled in India extensively I love fresh flavoursome food. The menu looked really interesting with dishes I hadn't heard of before so we were quite excited ! I asked several questions before ordering about strength & i dislike pre cooked meat... More

Midweek was very quiet in the restaurant - but this did mean that the service could not be faulted. The staff and manager were attentive, polite and helpful. The food was excellent - it seemed very authentic - with a really different taste to each dish. The taste was also significantly better than the more mainstream type of curry house.... More

Had a takeaway last weekend and we were told 35 mins for collection. We turned up after 35 mins to have to wait a further 20 minutes and having to ask twice when the takeaway would be ready. Had a tandoori selection and the meat was very tough, other curries were quite tasty but meat was very tough. All in... More

Welcomed straight away, shown to our table, provided with menus and our drinks order was taken immediately. Poppadoms were ordered and promptly delivered to our table. We ordered 8, only 4 were brought out. After enquiring, a further 4 were brought out. Ordered more drinks, but my glass was taken away without asking, still containing drink!! Then the main courses... More

We hadn't been to monsoon for several years, but decided to visit again and we weren't disappointed. My wife and I were welcomed on arrival and from that moment to when we left, the staff were attentive, always checking if we needed anything..but not OTT. The food also met those standards. I tried a dish I had never eaten before... More

Having been to Monsoon many times I thought it was time I did a review. Abdul the manager is always courteous and happy to great you and the rest of the staff are pleasant and don't change. Saturday evening when we visit is usually busy and you do have to wait a little at times but as the food is... More

We are regular visitors here and have never had an indifferent meal. The staff are welcoming the place is clean and the food is exceptionally good and at reasonable prices too. Chicken Dansak is a particular favourite but everything on the menu is really well prepared and well worth trying.
