After looking through the windows at Fennel's just down the road, we decided to bypass that shabby looking place and walked a bit further down to the much brighter looking Henri's Bar. We ordered a mixed grill, the duck breast and a bambino's tomato pasta. The food was absolutely superb and we were served in good time. We had asked... More

After a bad experience at the nearby Fennels restaurant the previous evening, we rediscovered Henri's having eaten there around a year ago.We were made to feel very welcome and the whole experience was excellent. The décor is wonderful and we both felt very comfortable, The staff are very attentive and we were quickly served with a lovely starter followed by... More

Went on advice of a friend , so wish we had not bothered very very very disappointed , Had Fogs legs and snails as starter both very over cooked ,frogs legs drowned in oil and snails dry very little if any of the garlic butter and as for the warm bread stone cold would be a better description . Lamb... More

The food leaves a lot to be desired, it is vastly overpriced, as for the manager, he is self important, rude, lazy and did not give two hoots about the fact that we had been overcharged on the price we had been told by the waitress for the wine. Even though he admitted the staff had told us the wrong... More

We decided to go to here for a lunch - it was very quiet which concerned me a little but I needn't have worried. The waitress was friendly and efficient, ensuring we had everything we needed whilst not being intrusive. We went for the £9.95 two course lunch which was excellent value. The carrot and coriander soup with olive bread... More

An absolute 'yes'. We have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and as this was a quickly booked couple of nights stay on business, our expectations were basic. What we received was anything but basic. The service we received was without doubt amongst the best ever - nothing appeared to be too much trouble and we... More

We've been to Henri's in the past and enjoyed the food but last night it was disappointing. It was served luke warm and my husband and I both agreed it was pretty tasteless. The staff were friendly and the service good and therefore a real shame that the food didn't meet our expectations.

Nice food - between the four of us we consumed mussels, roast chicken and a copious charcuterie platter, accompanied by a very good house rosé, all followed by lucious desserts. The coffee was good too. I'm surprised Henri's doesn't rank higher amongst restaurants in Shifnal.

Decided to try Henri's for a meal after previously eating there some time ago. Although the restaurant was busy we were asked if we wanted a drink at the bar and then offered a choice of tables, a 2 or 4. We chose the larger table by a group of ladies, who were all chatting away. We opted for the... More

Visited on Friday 28th March - poor food - main dish ok but over priced for what you got, desserts very poor - we had lemon pavalova which sounded lovely - when it came it consisted of a small circular meringue with a small amount of cream squirted on it and a slice of lemon!! We asked the waitress over... More
