Really good quality food

This restaurant is situated within the Park House Hotel where a was recently staying on business. My company had booked me in on a Dinner Bed & Breakfast basis so my breakfast and evening meal were taken within Butler's. The bar and restaurant are full of character with oak paneling and flooring... read more

Totally uninspiring. Nowhere near A la Carte standard as expected. The wine menu was more extensive than the food menu! Our steak & lamb choices were cooked just perfectly but the steak especially could have been anything as there was no taste/flavour to it. Hugely disappointing for our special weekend.

Love the food and great service. The wine list is not bad either. The only dislike sometimes the corners of the resturant can be dark, but it's only a minor dislike

A good selection of food only comment here would be if you like plain food because of medical problems or just do not like too much spices then the choice is limited. But what is served is of a very high quality and good value for money. It gave us a good indication of the food served the next night... More

I stay at the hotel weekly and the quality of the food is always very good. They need to advertise and 'sell' this restaurant a lot more to the hotel guests particular since so many leave to eat in Shifnal town.

I called the restaurant on the Tuesday to book a table for two for the Friday evening and I was told there was an availability at 8pm. So we turned up on Friday and noticed some disco lights in the window, thinking it was a separate room from the restaurant we proceeded into the reception. When we walked in, we... More

Liked atmosphere (didn't feel uncomfortable as lone female), service excellent, food good. I had fishcakes - delicious but could have done with a bit more salad and dressing.

Booked a table for the 241 Three course Sunday lunch menu for my partner and I. The room was not very atmospheric it was like a school dinner hall big and empty, I think this was the over fill room rather than the main dining room. Food though, was very tasty. Would recommend and certainly go back.

we ate here on a Friday evening and opted for the good value steak menu. The food was of good quality for the price. However, there are two main reasons for not grading this establishment higher. Firstly the staff and general service. It appears that the staff are not well trained. For example, the waitress had no clues to the... More
