Having visited The Royal Oak, Treflach on many occasions either as a couple or for a birthday celebration the food has consistently been excellent. Any variations are catered for in a 'family style' atmosphere. Well done in a difficult commercial time you are forging ahead.

Our party of four had booked a table on Thursday 26th June, and on arrival we were treated warmly and efficiently and shown to our table. Drinks were ordered and brought to us. The furniture is a little quirky but it matches the ambience of the building, however although we waited a little while for our first course to arrive,... More

We accidentally discovered the Royal Oak on a Monday evening having tried several other nearby pubs who weren't serving food that day. As things turned out, it was a great choice as we had a fabulous meal and the staff were great. We'll definitely be back again soon and would highly recommend it.

we visited the royal oak this afternoon the meal couldn't have been better, I had the sea bass which was perfect, my dad had the steak and Guinness pie (he's a bit of an expert when it comes to pies) best he's ever had. The stone house beer was spot on I quaffed 4 pints, we will certainly be returning,... More

My husband and myself are regulars at this lovely little pub, we usually go on a Friday night and we are never disapointed. The choice of food on the menu is quite extensive and always very fresh. My husband had the Guinness and Steak pie with vegetables, chips and extra gravy - I had the Lemon chicken which is delicious... More

We visited for Sunday lunch but hadn't booked a table. They were expecting a large party in but the barmaid found us a table. The lunch menu was limited but we only wanted the roast dinner which was fine. We chose beef and it was lovely, which came with enough veg for me as I have a smaller appetite. Someone... More

Staying at my sister's place in nearby Nantmawr, we visited the Royal Oak for a Sunday dinner on 12th January 2014. I'm not a big fan of 'traditional' meat and two veg, much preferring continental or exotic cuisine. I also don't like massive portions. There was a limited Sunday dinner menu but this sufficed for our party of 4. I... More
