We went for a drink in The Hand after a great walk. We looked at the menu and booked for dinner that evening. We were served by a young lady who was brilliant. The food was just brilliant and plentiful. We had a chicken and gammon pie. I think they said it came from a butchers in Chirk. The best... More

We stopped here twice for lunch and it was excellent. There is a good choice of 'light bites', rolls and more substantial meals. All the food was cooked to perfection and well presented. There is a friendly ambience in the bar and dogs are welcome.

We went to The Hand the day before Christmas Eve. We had a warm welcome from the staff and an even warmer one from the lovely log fire. The food was fantastic, huge portions of wonderful food. We went there to lunch on "pensioners' lunch day" and boy were we surprised by the quality, presentation and portion size of the food. We were not expecting a lot, but we certainly got it and will definitely go back regularly

We always have fantastic food in this Pub/Restaurant and great service. it is in the lovely hamlet of Dyffryn Ceiriog surrounded by fabulous scenery. The pub / restaurant has lots of character and atmosphere and there is usually an open fire which makes it very homely. This is one of our favourite eating places in the area.

This great Pub/Restaurant is surprisingly popular considering its remote location. When you try it for the first time you realise it is down to the good food and friendly staff. We stopped there on our way to our hotel in Llangollen, a good decision. We booked before we left home and would recommend you do that
