The food at this pub was very basic pub grub (everything with chips) but was good value for the price and was fairly tasty. Also a lovely setting by the river. Unfortunately the manager couldn't have been less welcoming. He was very rude when we tried to order at the bar and said we needed to go to the food... More

I been to this restaurant a couple of times and it is one of the nicest places to have a drink or something to eat. I am going to give this restaurant a 4mark just because the friendliness and location., Food is good but it could do with a bit more choice. One thing i did notice on the menu,... More

A meal out for 4 adults and 2 kids and the food was £36 - fish and chips to die for was £7.50, and other meals looked great too. Location is stunning, and the pub itself is a proper old school pub, like before every village pub got all "gastro" and started charging £13 for a burger. Definitely going there... More

We decided to pop in for a pint on a sunny Sunday evening and decided to stop for dinner. The location of this pub is so beautiful, with views from the front over to the river and hills (Rodney's Pillar) in the distance. It's a real hidden gem - literally very hidden- they appear to have added more brown signs... More

What a fantastic country pub this is, it seems that these days it can be hard to find good country pubs that are true to their roots and deliver good food, beer and friendly staff in an unspoilt way. We enjoyed an impromptu pub lunch here, lovely setting next to the river, dog friendly, and great home cooked traditional pub... More

I'd heard lots of good reviews of The Royal Hill so was quite interested when I got the chance to visit. The pub is actually hidden away in the countryside and is very close to the river Severn. There is also a campsite next door. We visited here on a Saturday evening and I was surprised how busy it is.... More

We arrived to a bustling traditional style pub with rooms and thought we were on to a winner. Unfortunately not all the rooms are old, there are some new additions such as pool table, sky TV and an annexe for dining which just aren't as atmospheric as the rest of it. When you book ask for a table in the... More

Dropped in last night for a meal - lovely steak, excellent beers and a nice drop of vino. This place is very good value and can get very busy so it is advisable to book.
