We have stopped here for a bite to eat on two occasions recently and would not hesitate to do so again if we are in the area. I booked a table on Friday evening for 10 people on Saturday. They were already booked up but kindly squeezed us in. Then I increased the booking to 12 and then to 16 and even though it was difficult for them they still squeezed us in! And then at the last minute it went up to 20 and they juggled... More

4 of us went in for lunch. We hadn't booked but that wasn't a problem! The beer and wine were great. The menu presented a problem - such a variety on offer, we were spoilt for choice!! We chose the crayfish and prawn risotto (2), chicken enchiladas and the chicken, chorizo and ham risotto. The food was really good as... More

We visited this pub at lunchtime for a drink after a lovely canal side walk, seemed nice so we booked a table for 7pm that evening. We arrived at 6.50pm and ordered some drinks and were shown to our table which was in a pokey inner room, which was okay as we didn't request a specific room. We were given... More

Food was luke warm, menu said sausage baguette and I got a sausage sandwich, they should of told me when I ordered they had no baguettes instead of telling me when they bought it out to me! The pub itself wasn't very warm, such a shame as I have always enjoyed going here

Ate here a few times and never had a complaint! Visited on the Monday for Christmas and luckily booked a table as it was soo busy! Nice to see crackers on the table for the festive period! Ordered the chicken enchiladas which were huge! Portion sizes are not on the small scale! Always recommend to family and friends and will... More

The service is slow and the staff are surly and offer no incentive in helping to order. In some respects the menu is too large.

Food here is good with large choice and good value BUT the man who owns it is so miserable it puts you off even setting foot in the place.

We have been to the Queens Head on several occasions, often with a friend who is gluten and dairy intolerant. She loves it because they really do cater for people with these problems. The most comprehensive menu of "interesting" GF food anywhere around here. The non GF is also excellent.
