Called here on the way home from a trip away. They quickly accommodated us with a table. Sunday lunch was amazing & puds just as good. Proper home cooked food. Will definately call there again.

We visit the Queens Head relatively often. It is a busy but relaxing pub and the food is always good. Sunday dinner is like a proper, good old gravy dinner (if you don't have enough gravy just ask and they will bring you more). Its good, traditional 'comfort' food - always very tasty. We also visit occasionally during the week... More

Just got home with a paella doggi bag as the portion is so huge I could only manage half of it as on a Thursday the desserts are free with a main course! Amazing!

The service is excellent and an extremely busy pub in great location near the canal so we can moor our boat. We went for a roast dinner on our anniversary and the roast itself was absolutely delicious but felt let down by the very small portion of vegetables we had to share and only two roast potatoes each. We desert... More

We all totally enjoyed our meals. Three roast dinners, scampi and my Steak and Ale pie. I find it hard to resist a pie and this was one of the best I've had for a long time. 2 bottles of wine and 3 soft drinks, 3 deserts and a cheese board. The bill was £20 a head which we all felt... More

We went here for a anniversary meal and found the conservatory the best place to eat as it had beautiful views and plenty of room. The whole experience was wonderful with great food and good service.

We have been to this pub several times and have really enjoyed the food. It is very pricey, but the portions are big and the food is usually delicious. However, we visited recently, on a Sunday, and the food was disappointing. My roast lamb meal was cold and so was my friend's roast dinner. We just thought that they must... More

We regularly visit for lunch with friends as its in the middle of us. The menu is always good and the specials menu is extensive. The only downside can be a little too much choice. My wife is a slightly indecisive woman so can take ages to decide. Lol. Great to see a range of gluten free items on the... More
