We visited the Queens Head for lunch - three adults and two children. It was a Sunday, so we made a simple choice of three Sunday roasts for the adults plus two pizzas from the children's menu. The menu looked good and the surroundings were very pleasant. Some 40 minutes went by and just as we were starting to get... More

We have been looking for somewhere to eat that feels welcoming and serves delicious food. By the canal we found the Queens Head and were not disappointed. Love the decor. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. Questioned what the meatballs were made from and was no trouble for them to find out. The menu gives you plenty of choices.... More

Apart from some very strange people sitting outside when we arrived we were alone inside for what seemed like an age before anyone arrived. We had a table in the conservatory and drinks came promptly. The food we ordered was hot but tasteless and bland. There was lots of it but it was still not good. Won't go back!

We recently went to this pub on a sunday at 12.00 after having gone Go Karting for my friends birthday. Whereas we thought everything was good including the food etc, our trip was completely spoilt by our first impressions when we asked for a table. After speaking to the man that seemed to be in charge, we asked him for... More

Went to Oswestry today to visit some family and we decided to have lunch out. I always pass the Queens Head on the A5 and hear nothing but good news from friends that have been there. Can tell everything is homemade, service was delightful. A very enjoyable visit. Will be back again very soon!

The Queens Head, near Oswestry is a great place to dine. Me and my partner visit once a month, as a treat and have never come away disappointed. Lovely home made food from a large menu to choose from and friendly staff. In my eyes, the best restaurant in Oswestry. You wont be disappointed. Enjoy.

I have just come back from another lovely meal at the queens head, myself and a few friends regularly meet up here as we know we are going to get good home cooked food in a welcoming place, with excellent service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend the Queens Head to anybody. It is hard to find anywhere these days... More

Took my two grandsons and self to Queens' Head and was less than impressed by the food, service and the indifference of the manager to a complaint. The boys had fish & chips, and scampi & chips with peas. I chose Cottage Pie, and though the boys' food was reasonably satisfactory the cottage pie was quite awful: there was very... More

“It’s good food at the Queen’s Head” is a phrase I had heard quite often locally. Another birthday celebration would give me the chance to find out if that is still the case. With every one having arrived and blandishments proffered to the birthday girl we trooped through to our table to begin the always, (for me), difficult task of... More
