I went a ride to find the pub but it is now closed down for business, and according to the locals it has been closed since December 2012

Now Ive no idea of the prices etc but imagine its pricey as we were there as part of a large party for a 70th birthday! But the food was great! Some of the starters were more substantial than others but by the time you got to dessert you were full anyway! I had half a chicken which was cooked... More

We have been in a few times since it reopened and have no complaints. We popped in tonight fancying a bit to eat on the off chance they might have a table. However they were rammed to the rafters. The brilliant landlord said that if we ordered straightaway he would serve us some food in their lovely bar/snug area. We... More

Had a really great evening at the Tontine. There were 11 of us - 5 adults and 6 children. The food was lovely and the pub grub was excellent value. The service was efficient but we didn't feel rushed and the lady even provided us with a map for a walk the next day. Highly recommended.

The service was good and staff very friendly, nice place to have drink as well as meal with some big comfy sofas in the lounge area and a pleasant beer garden. The food is well presented and of a high standard, all cooked fresh and lots of local produce used. We will use again when we visit the area.

We popped in here to meet up with a friend who was kayaking around Wales (honest!). The setting is lovely, and while you're there try to find time to pop into the church, which is gorgeous. The pub looked newly refurbished and had a nice comfy sofa section where we settled to wait for our friend. Once we were all... More

We had an evening meal here whilst meeting a friend who was kayaking round Wales. (Yes you can do it via canals, the Vyrnwy, down the Severn etc) Like one of the other reviews, when you enter the car park it does not look very impressive. We entered the pub via the bar entrance and it was immediately obvious this... More

Been popping in for a meal now and again. But last time WOW... I had black pudding starter and meat fa*gots main course plus a drink all for about 14 quid. My southerner friends entered the car park a bit sketchey because they felt it didn't look amazing BUT they were really impressed from the comfy chairs to play "connect... More

Called into The Tontine this evening as we just fancied some Pub Grub. I often ride past on my bike and I never realised the place has been completely refurbished from top to bottom. Well what a lovely welcome we received from both the landlady & landlord and the regulars in the lounge. We stopped for a meal and whilst... More
