Always a fantastic place to go and have a pint and some lovely food! The atmosphere is always brilliant with the staff always friendly and smiling! I highly recommend the live music every other Sunday, it brings the whole of Much Wenlock alive with a fantastic mix of locals and tourists. The number one place to go in Much Wenlock!

I had not visited here for several years and was pleasantly surprised to see it had remained unaltered. It remains a pub which does food. The atmosphere and service were memorable, and nostalgic. The variety of ales was excellent and the range of 'pub grub' was quite wide ranging. The food quality was excellent and the prices very reasonable. The... More

Sorry we turned up having walked from Ironbridge just after 14:30. No food at the Inn. Beer was nice though.

We ate here twice during our week in Much Wenlock. Both times food excellent, beer in top condition and service friendly and efficient. Don't expect haute cuisine, this is a popular drinkers pub with a restaurant, not the other way round. Portions were good and good value. Yes the restaurant is a bit dated I suppose but I reiterate, this... More

After a evening tour of Shipton Hall a party of 18 of us descending on this small establishment for a pie and pint..(Tues £ 8.95).We had prebooked so they were able to seat us all together in their small restaurant.I suspect we'd pushed all their regular pie customers into the bar area...because they were very very busy. A youthful enthusiastic... More

Bar looked ok, crowded and noisy. Restaurant needs decorating and menu uninteresting. Waiter could dress better.

the pub is very small and quaint and had typical country pub decor, which was lovely. the staff were very pleasant and generally we had a lovely dinner there after a morning of activities at the edge. the food was well prepared and presentation was good, only minor point was the beef was a little too thickly sliced for my... Was in Much Wenlock for a weeks holiday with children. Had evening meal at this pub and enjoyed it so much we went back another night rather than trying any of the other pubs in the town which seemed far more expensive. Food was good value, nothing special, just good food cooked well at a good price and enjoyed by... More

Quite busy for a sunny Saturday night so the bar staff were a little flustered but friendly at the same time. Had to wait a while for our table to be cleared but they got there in the end! Nice 'local pub' atmosphere, laid back, not to 'polished' but when the food eventually did arrive the Steak was excellent. You... More

Having recently moved to the area we thought we would try the top ranked restaurant in the town. The food was ok but nothing better than that and the restaurant is nothing more than a bit out the back with little character. I think we just kept comparing it to the talbot down the rd that we had eaten at... More
