Picturesque inside and out, The Feathers is the brainchild of ex-Londoners a fact that shows in the dreamily rustic look combined with contemporary touches as well as the menu. Prepared using much local produce, The Feathers offers a range of British dishes with an internationally inspired flavour. Try the Shropshire Blue risotto or the impressive crispy duck for a taste of what the kitchen team can do.

We’re locals who have been in to “The Plume” a few times now since it re-opened. We really like that the menu which has changes each month and my husband enjoys the choice of real ales. The staff always seem quite helpful, we’re looking forward to sitting outside in the garden now the weather is getting better!

I was treated by my partner for valentines night, and as i say simply a delight. Starters for me were the Italian meatballs in a tomatoe salsa whilst my partner had the garlic and pate mushrooms, both were excellent. For my main i had my trade mark belly pork which was beautiful. Pheasant and mushroom pie was chosen by my... More

We were in Shropshire for our anniversary last week, we visited The Feathers for an evening meal. We had a really lovely evening, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, I had the lamb and my husband had the pork belly, both were beautifully cooked. We were set to go there for the remaining 2... More

We booked a dinner at The Feathers for a Sunday evening whilst visiting Shropshire on business. We were attracted by the good reviews. The outside areas are scruffy and unattractive and need a good tidy up. A bit of electric light outside wouldn't go amiss either, with no street lighting in the village winter visitors need to take care and... More

Food was all ok. Nice starters, nicely cooked and presented, bunt served on stone cold plates which really didn't work. my steak was nicely cooked, but lacking in something I can't quite figure out. Overall ambience - its a really big room and she new arrived was empty. As it filled up the ambience improved, but I think they should... More

My husband and I were up in Shropshire for a short break last week and friends there kindly suggested we join them in a meal at The Feathers on Saturday evening. What a lovely occasion in every respect it turned out to be. The four of us were seated at a very welcoming table close to the fire and it... More

We set off for Sunday lunch today and suddenly thought I know! Let's go to the Feathers. It was two o'clock so we weren't sure they would be still serving. We entered through the lovely decorated Christmassy shop and into the cosy bar. Te place was full and warm and full of atmosphere. The owner, Paul was so accommodating and... More

We have eaten at this restaurant many times as a couple and with a group of people. No matter how busy they are, if you don't have a reservation they will do their best to get a table for you. They also have a lovely shop as you walk in with many items for sale. The food has always been... More

Cosy little pub that does great food and has a lovely atmosphere. Service is friendly, not intrusive and they tend to leave you to yourself to get on with your meal. Food is hearty, delicious and filling. We've been a number of times and have never been disappointed. The selection isn't huge, but wide enough and there's something for everyone.... More
