We ate here with a couple of friends on a Saturday night. The bar was farily loud and busy when we arrived, but we were shown to our table (even though we were 20 minutes early). The menu choice was excellent and there was also a good list of specials. All of us had lovely meals, even though it was... More

We had a work team meal at The Horseshoes, who dealt with our large group booking efficiently. The pub is gorgeous and cosy, and the food was delicious.

We were recomended to try this place at another bar in Witney as their kitchen had closed for the day. 3 of our party had steaks which were requested to be cooked medium rare, unfortunately they were significantly over done, they did the British thing not to complain and ate it anyway and apart from being overdone it was very... We decided to eat here having read Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. I had a rather good burger with bacon and cheese. The fries were extremely good. My partner had the roast pork which was well cooked and was a generous portion. Food here isn't cheap but well worth it. The atmosphere is good as was the... More

Enjoyed dinner early on a busy Thursday evening during the Easter holidays. Friendly and helpful staff throughout. Good choice on menu and we chose traditional pub dishes (fish, meat pies, burgers) which were all well prepared and presented. Food prices OK for the quality but less expensive options available in the locality. Beer seemed quite expensive at almost £4 a... More

Have to say always love the shoes we go a lot, they have on at the mo a scotch egg which I have to say was amazing, just what it said on the tin, lovely hard boiled egg surround by fresh pork and the sauce that accompanied it was just what the dr ordered, highly recommend.

Steak sandwich with caramelized onions. Fish finger sandwich. What a lovely Saturday lunchtime meal. Who could ask for more?! We love going to the Horseshoes whether it’s for lunch or dinner, whether with family, friends or young children. We are never usually disappointed with the food and atmosphere.

Visited today with my aunt and uncle. Service was friendly and thoughtful, not to say the waitresses were pretty too (not the most important but still more enjoyable). Food was lovely. Had a "shoe burger" which was really good (although I should have thought of asking my meat rare) especially the fries which really tasted like potatoes. Had a try... More
