We used to eat at this restaurant/pub before they were flooded & allough the food wasn't great it was acceptable. We have now moved to Wantage and thought we would try it again. The food quality has gone south & prices gone north…….Atmosphere is non existent. Best avoided

The Lamb, Wantage's only remaining thatch building, has been substantially renovated and enlarged, with the main drinking and eating area now outside of the original building. Good selection of standard beers, food average, but economical. Good parking although be careful when leaving the car park on either foot or by car as Mill street can be busy and the entrance... Feels like its in the middle of a council estate. If you like sausage and chips and Saturday night tv you'll probably love it. If you like fresh pasta and BBC2 documentaries, probably best to give it a miss.

Visited The Lamb Inn this evening thinking it may have improved since we last visited approximately two years ago and the food was very poor then, although service was reasonable - but not this time! We each had a roast dinner priced at £9.95, beef was tough, vegetables boiled to death - no taste and very watery to the point... More

Visited on Friday lunchtime. Not too busy but appears to be a varied menu. Local ales well kept. Nice atmosphere with two open fires. Just a few minutes walk from the centre. Worth a visit.

The food was lovely and impressed how quick the food came out was just made to feel uncomfortable... More

Have never been in here before and was pleasantly surprised. It's lovely inside and very cosy on a cold wet night. The menu is very basic and (in my opinion) overpriced, but if the food is excellent then you can forgive that. The food however is far from excellent. Fried, sums it up. All the starters are 'breaded', presumably to... More

The menu hasn't changed here in ages. Not sure if it's the same chef or lack of culinary knowledge or inspiration. the pub is very dark, the food is OK, predictable pub grub but the prices are too steep for what is on offer. I presume 'The Lamb' has stood for a long time, just like the menu, Wantage needs... More
