A few of us from work went for a pre-booked lunch. On arrival we were told the fish and chips were not available, but we could have cod goujons(presumably from the childrens menu?). The 2 of us who had pre-ordered fish declined and ordered an alternative. The food when it arrived, relatively... read more

We've just been to the Lamb for lunch as a table of 6. 4 had Sunday lunches which were delicious. Vegetables were cooked properly and not served cold or mushy. Just perfect! 2 had the steak deal. 2 Rib eye steaks and a bottle of wine for £25. Great tasting steaks which were cooked perfectly to temperature. Waiting staff were... More

I took my aunt and mother to the place for their birthday meals on 22/12/, the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the venue itself is very well set out and has that homely feel that makes you want to stay. For a night on the tiles, I'd say this is perfect both for family and for friends..... But unfortunately... More

Went yesterday for a family meal and had the double cheeseburger. Food was hot, but looked and tasted like it had come from a burger van (same bread and patties used). Not what you'd expect for £10+. Also, never been anywhere that would have the audacity to charge £2.50 for a coffee that comes out of the same machine as... More

Small fillet steak requested rare but arrived well done. Second attempt also well done (waited 10 to 15 minutes so should give you a clue!) Waiter tried to argue that it was rare. - What happened to the customer is always right?) Ended up taking the second steak home as we had been charged full price for it. Good for... More

Staying nearby we happened upon this friendly pub. The October special of rump steak and all the extras for £5.99 was too good to resist and we both thoroughly enjoyed what was a great steak per se, and not just because it was cheap. Definitely recommended - we've been again and the food was just as good, if not better... More

Went for dinner with a group. Staff were very helpful. Food was fairly standard selection of pub fayre. Nothing bad, but nothing outstanding. Poorer selection of beers than I would like, but it seems to be well kept. The pub itself still mostly retains it's ancient character, particularly in the dining area which was really pleasant. Would recommend a visit... More

Hadn't eaten breakfast, so was pleased to see The Lamb was open for a meal in the afternoon. Both I and a friend ate. I had Shepherds Pie and veggies. Disaster. I didn't find an item of meat in the pie. The filling was a sludge, covered with a mousse of potato. The veggies were fine. My friends eats was... More

Come quite regularly to The Lamb Inn for lunch in our lunch hour. Even though the other end of town to where we work. The service is always quick. There is a good menu selection and a good list of daily specials. If had to criticise one thing it would be to offer a vegetarian special. The food is always... More
