For at least the third time running we had to chase the staff to be able to place our order. The staff are either standing around chatting or all trying to wait the same tables. This place needs a manager and if they already have one, they need replacing. Between 1.00 - 1.30pm the place was almost empty. I wonder... More

Awful place. Staff seem disinterested in the customers. Takes forever to order, waitress incapable of understanding what was wanted, had to repeat it three times to the airhead. Teas/coffee arrived ten minutes after ordering and were finished by the time the sausage sandwich (on the wrong type of bread) eventually arrived, two paninis came out and then five minutes later... This coffee house has been running for years and could be so much more! It is in need of a serious menu upgrade. The food is tolerable but its all pretty much high fat fried stuff. The worst thing I had was their roast dinner - they even deep-fry the yorkshire pudding. I would use this cafe a lot more... More

2nd visit just to check the first experience was not normal but sorry to say the service is terrible, the wait for food interminable and quality average. When my friend and I complained over the wait for our order the young man said they were very busy.......over 1/2 the tables were empty!!! All the waiting staff seemed to have no... More

My husband and myself were travelling through Thame and needed some lunch so we stopped here at about 1.30pm and ordered a roast dinner each. I had the roast pork and readers, I have to tell you, don't try it! Roast potatoes were soggy and tasted like they had been cooked hours ago, yorkshire pudding had been perked up by... More

We went for lunch in The coffee house as we have been here before and the food was great! However, as we ordered tea, there was a dead fly in the tea so we sent it back. We ordered our food (cottage pie, cod and chips, lasagne and a kids sandwhich and crisps) when the lasagne arrived, it was luke... More

We've frequented the Coffee House for many years now and it's always been a reliable place to have a good drink, tasty food served with generous portions and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Just make sure that when you go you're not pushed for time as sometimes it can take a little while for the order to arrive! Still - it's... More

Popped in this morning, usually go to another independent cafe in Thame, but thought would give this a try. Hubby ordered a coffee and got tea, we ordered a sausage sandwich on brown and got it on white and asked for ketchup and got brown sauce!! The sandwiches were really good tho.

The location is good, being right in the centre of Thame with free parking close by. The menu is quite varied but the food is more suited to a coffee with friends or a light lunch or breakfast rather than full on lunch or dinner. Price wise its reasonably priced. I found the service prompt and the staff happy and... More

We popped in for a sandwich and coffee. The coffee arrived promptly, and was good - but two toasted cheese and ham sandwiches took half an hour to appear. For toasties, they were actually quite tasty, with a garnish of salad - but I'm not sure they were worth £5.25 each. It took another five minutes to queue at the... More
