Tame in Thame

This place is annoyingly uninspiring. It is in a great location but lacks imagination both in food and decor. It's a shame as it could be so much better. I had a pasty which was average at best. I can't even remember what the others had, says it all really. We left full up but uninspired, the... read more

Overpriced, very bland. Not much home cooking. Shabby inside and the staff cannot be bothered. Much better places to eat for this price. It needs to go on one of the make over programmes. It would not take much to change it.

We decided to try the Coffee House for a quick bite to eat when visiting Thame for the weekend. When we entered we were impressed by the amount of staff but sadly were ignored by all. We opted for a table with the least amount of un-cleared cutlery and waited and waited, every single member of staff looked straight ahead... More

Went in the Coffee House after a long absence. The absence was due to the fact the over the Winter, I've walked in and straight back out again many times as the place was too cold, due to the heating being "broken". Or perhaps it's just turned off to save costs? Now the Spring is here, I thought I'd give... More

nice enough food, but service can be too slow for food if you are on your lunchbreak from work, fine if you have no time restraints

This used to be a great little cafe, serving good food with attentive and friendly staff. I have to say, haven't been for years but what a shame it's lost all of it's charm. I spent the whole time with my coat on as the place was cold (we'd been seated up the back) food was distinctly average and overpriced,... More

Grubby, slow, uninspiring, and not cheap either. Went there as one of our party had visited before and enjoyed it. It has gone badly downhill!

In my opinion this is the most welcoming cafe in Thame, especially if you have have young children. The food is basic cafe style but always tasty and good portions.
