Worth a visit!

Our first visit on a very busy Sunday, pleasant staff, table found within 15 minutes. Meals and drinks served efficiently, excellent halloumi salad and fish and chips. Quite expensive but worth it. Will certainly return.

Very expensive for average food. £3.25 for a dozen whitebait... Good service though. Rare beef sandwich very disappointing as the bread was not particularly fresh (£6.95).

We had heard many good things about the food at the Greyhound, so it came as a huge disappointment to have been so thoroughly disgusted by what they served us. Some of the food was rancid, the rest of it was the bottom-of-the-barrel stuff that had obviously come from a bulk buy at a cash and carry. I have never... More

Having had many a family meals at the Greyhound, I can truly say that it always hits the spot! The best meals are the Friday night unwind from the week, glass of wine and some tasty food. Good choice of drought ale and wines. Whether you come for a drink, light bite or a meal, the pub offers good fayre.... More

The food menu and the range of approximately eight draught beers is changed regularly. Particular favourites include the fish pie, feather of beef, pigs cheeks, duck breast, crispy beef salad (enormous), sea bream, shoulder of lamb, haddock and chips. All served with a smile. We are regular customers for business meetings as well as meals with family and friends. Thoroughly... More

2 couples went for dinner on mon 16th feb 2014, we all had something different, all of us finished all of our meals, The crispy beef salad with chilli sauce was outstanding, which I didn't think I could finish it, but it was too nice to leave, The real ale selection was great for the men too, Friendly staff, lovely... We have been passing by this pub for many years on our trips to Bristol and it has always seemed inviting but we had never had time to stop. Today we stopped off for a family dinner on the way home. We were not disappointed. The Sea bass was perfect and my youngest daughter who knows good pasta; couldn't eat... More

We enjoyed a recent family meal at the Greyhound and were very impressed by the overall experience. Clearly, this pub/restaurant has come on a long way over the years and now sits within our 'Top list' of restaurants in and around the Oxford area. If you are happy paying £30 - £40 per head, including a drink (good selection of... More

We often eat at The Greyhound and visit last week with friends. Table booked for 6.30pm on a Saturday - it was busy but not noisy. Service was excellent - we have always found it to be very efficient. Food - a good choice including the veggi options. A good choice of beers and lovely deserts. Lots of parking. Easy... More

My husband, 17 year old daughter and I had a meal at the Greyhound last night (Valentines Day). We knew it would be busy and booked a table. My daughter thought she might feel awkward as a gooseberry amongst loving couples, but she needn't have worried, the Valentine theme was evident but not overdone and there were other families eating...
