Have dined here previously and enjoyed it. Visited on a Sunday and admittedly it was very busy, service was poor, food seemed to be microwave dependent, and not particularly tasty. However the biggest contrast was the costs compared with two visits to "gastro" pubs in the area which served freshly prepared and tasty food for considerable less cost.

Had to find a local place with English fayre for dinner with family including 2 over 70s.. Drive past greyhound every day and thought I'd give it a try .. Grounds, service, atmosphere, food and beer all excellent couldn't fault it .

Perhaps i wouldn't rave about this place as much as some of the other recent reviewers...in fairness the food was quick...as described..hot...a little expensive for what it was...but prompt...its a busy high turnover pub/restaurant...easy parking...suitable for a family..or food with mates...not so much intimate and quiet...but reccommended

Beautifully flowered front and spacious seating indoors and out. I had a quiche from the light bite menu which was just what I wanted for lunch. Lovely atmosphere and people. Dog friendly with water and a treat provided to a very appreciative mutt.

Nice food but extra drinks added to bill. When this was pointed out they were removed but a soft drink was added, not impressed ! Watch out!

As well as serving a really amazing selection of ale and wine, the food was astonishingly tasty - and I say this as a vegetarian and a vegan as customers. The vegetarian platter was so diverse and meant we could each take what we liked and no 'dud' item was on the selection. The jerk halloumi was the best halloumi... More

This is just a great pub - possibly my favourite within 10 miles of home - with excellent food at really good prices and a good selection of quality drinks. I go here a lot and it's worth the journey every time

This restaurant is always quite busy so its advisable to book ahead. A good selection of beers and wines and a nicely varied menu which changes seasonally. Wines can be a bit pricey but a decent choice to suit most pockets. As this is a "Pub" the orders are generally taken at the bar but several of the waiting staff... More

This isn't the first time we have been to this restaurant - we try to make a beeline for The greyhound whenever we are out travelling... but the other day we made a point of going to the Greyhound for a birthday celebration and we weren’t disappointed. The food was a very good quality and reasonably priced, the atmosphere and... More
