Just came back from what we had been hoping to be a lovely Sunday roast dinner. Unfortunately we were welcomed to "No roasts available". As the roast was 5 of the options on the menu, we were left with little choice over either the 4 last lamb shoulders or fish and chips. We had booked a table for 6pm, as... More

This is ideally located just off the A420 about 5 minutes from the A34 with ample parking and lots of tables inside and out. We were on our way back home from a day out and stopped for lunch. The welcome was really nice with the barman taking us to a table and bringing drinks and menus. A wide choice... More

I've been to this pub on several occasions and it's always a good experience. The building is very quaint and cosy, with real fires and beams on cold days and a side garden or a conservatory on sunnier ones. The menu is extensive without being ludicrously big and, the last time I visited, all of the dishes - from fish... More

We stayed in the area recently, and ended up going to the Greyhound 3 nights running. Every night, we found it great. Service was great, food was good, and the selections of wines by the glass was excellent.

An attractive, stone built pub with plenty of hanging baskets on the wall, it’s a good size establishment and also has a beer garden to one side. Whilst food is a major factor here, and it is, I’m sure, something of a destination dining venue, it’s not exclusively so, and none of the tables were laid up with either cutlery... More

I visited this place with the in-laws last Thursday. Amazing food on the whole. It is a bit odd that you have to go to the bar to be seated as there are plenty of staff on hand to seat you. After a bit of a wait we were shown to our reserved table. Even for a Thursday they were... More

Really good food, reasonably priced. Good ale selection. What more can I say? Great to find an eatery whose sole purpose is not to get you in, feed you cheap microwave meal grade food then ship you out. Lovely gardens for summer evenings too

Had another great lunchtime meal with an adult party of 6. Great atmosphere and real traditional feel of a British Inn. Tables well spaced. Service excellent Menu choice is traditional and well priced. Meals are of a good portion size with quality ingredients. All meals arrived together with good choice of condiments offered. Deserts were great British classics and are... More

Main course served fairly quickly. Steak burgers were good. Desserts took ages (mainly ice-cream). Shame as we decided to give The Greyhound a visit as stopped going years ago. No obvious management around. Lack of staff and those there were very inexperienced. On another note, the outside of The Greyhound looked inviting and lovely with the pretty flower boxes.
