Stopped in travelodge one night to break long journey up. Sunday night so not any where other than macdonald to eat and so glad we opted for this than McDonald's. Not a bad choice and food ordered wasn't amazing but was nice. Service was good and staff went out of way to be pleasant and attentive. So for somewhere to... More

Stayed at the Travelodge next door as I was working at the showgound until 20.15. Didn't fancy trying to find somewhere to eat and it is open until 9pm. Tried to order something easy for the staff as it was 8.30pm so ordered the scampi (see pic) 19 chips and 7 very small pitiful bits of scampi for £7,99 what... More

............If only I knew what that meant! Stopped here for a break on a sojourn to the northlands with my Beautiful Companion and Sprog Unit 1. It was OK, although I have to say that the Works I ingested did lie heavily for at least a couple of hours. Service was a little odd, but I guess well meaning, so... More

Normally we would give any Little Chef we've been to no star ratings of any kind. However, this one was refurbished and reformed by Heston Blumenthal and featured on TV. It worked. It is clean, bright, and has none of the horrible greasy smell one normally associates with motorway stops. It has table service, and an interesting menu which is... More

We stayed at the Travelodge next door and the staff very kindly allowed us to take dinner and breakfast back to our room as we had a dog so couldn't eat inside. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even helped my husband to the hotel with food to open the doors for him. English... More

I have gone here with the kids for a cheap kids tea on several occasions . It is what it is : a little chef ! But interesting to see how the Heston Blumenthal upgrade idea almost worked . Fine for burger and chips , limitless soft drink and sweet pudding or ice cream . Why bother with mac Donald's... More

My wife and I used this restaurant as we stayed at the Travelodge and after a full day were too tired (or lazy) to look around. First impression was that we were interrupting the staff in their conversations. The restaurant was empty, but we were shown to a table next to what was obviously the last one to be occupied... More

we had breakfast on 2 mornings, and 1 late meal, on each visit the service was fast, the staff pleasent, the food good, and the place was clean, it was good value for money and provided a good selection, it also gives 10% discount if you stay at the travel lodge.
