so good

We were going to paloma faith concert, it helps you on your way, food is good, and it's a welcome when you get back, just what you need, good atmosphere. I would suggest camping, next to the dog and duck, you can walk onto the campsite. Only half hour walk at the most from sherwood pines, don't... read more

Called into Dog and Duck for lunch on our way back from a holiday in Filey on Monday 22 June. I had scampi and chips and the meal was delicious, really enjoyed it. Service was very good too.

We eat here regularly and at the sister pub the Rose Cottage. Both are recommended. Very high standards of food and service at very reasonable cost. The décor is lovely as well, very homely. Parking is also easy. Lovely staff.

We have been visiting this as our local for several years however sadly I do think it's gone down hill. The staff are well presented and polite and the restaurant itself is lovely, however the food is not as nice as it used to be and the outside seating area is absolutely awful! What a let down, please spend a... More

Me and my boyfriend came here after the Paloma Faith concert in Sherwood Pines and couldn't get a taxi back to Worksop. We had a drink in here and after 2 hours of trying to book a taxi, 2 of the staff gave us a lift back. Thank you so much Courtney and Danni and to their manager for letting... More

We visited the dog and duck on the recommendation of a forestry commission ranger whilst talking about visiting sherwood pines for a concert and that we were looking for somewhere to eat beforehand. Just go and see for yourself its hard to describe but one things for sure you wont be disappointed with anything. How true those words were. To... More

Well, me and 5 family members went here for a surprise for my mothers birthday this friday just gone. We came here last March the day before my cousin was getting married at Rufford and called in to show my parents the fabulous decor and we ordered x4 handmade burgers which were lovely and HUGE! My mother loved this place... More

Went there last week on my nephews birthday.. it was lovely evening with sunshine. the place is nicely decorated. there was live music too. The food was quiet good. There was no much choice for vegetarians. So i ended up having a burger, which was a little dry. But the dessert was really disappointing. I had warm apple crumble. The... More

A party of nine went for an evening meal for our daughters 30th, not been in quiet a few years. The place itself has been beautifully decorated with a nice atmosphere. Our starters arrived and they were all gorgeous, however the rest was not so good, three main courses were not upto the mark and one rump steak went back... More
