This historic pub has been tastefully decorated and updated to create a beautiful country pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A word from Adam & Louise, "When we took over The White Swan Inn, our aim was to revive the charm of a village pub with welcoming staff, warm interior, good beers and excellent food. We believe we can create an experience that appeals as much to locals popping in for a pint as it does to visitors coming to dine. We are aware of the important role a village pub plays within the village community and we want it to continue to be a welcoming social meeting place for people of the area and beyond"

charming pub with good food

Visited this pub today and had a dinner with some good friends. Good atmosphere and an interesting menu with some unusual items such as Kangaroo and Bison meat. I had a vegetarian option which was very good. The only slight negative was the very restricted parking. Friendly staff. Overall a... read more

The White Swan Inn is a lovely traditional pub which I visited with four of my friends on a Wednesday night. The menu wasn't enormous but it did have a fair amount of choice. I picked the Seabass with mash and creamy leek sauce and it was excellent. two of my friends picked Homemade Pies and the other two picked... More

Having seen the Swan in the good pub guide we had hoped for a good meal and were certainly not disappointed! Great value for food, and lovely friendly staff/service. You can't aways bank on the Sunday lunch satisfying your craving or living up to your home made standards, but I would give them a 9/10 for a super effort! Lovely... More

First time to this Pub/Restaraunt. Had read some reviews and due to the responses thought it would be good. We arrived on time and ordered a drink and we we're taken into the Restaraunt. We were given the menu and even asked the chef information regarding fish on the specials board. All very pleasant. Then nothing. We waited, had our... More

We called in as we passed through Blyth from our visit to Thoresby Hall. It was a Tuesday and around 2pm so wasn't busy. Plenty of tables to choose from, including outside in the beer garden if you wish. Good range on the menu and there was also a specials board. Friendly staff to welcome us and continue to serve... fantastic waiting staff, service right paced, the back room was very smoky as it leads directly to the kitchen which was unfortunate. I was a little disappointed that there were no specials on the board as although there were lots of different meats to choose from i prefer a really tender meat such as a fillet. i had bison rump... Been here a number of times and Tonights meal was the best I've had hear. Delicious pie, really tasty and a very decent sized portion. Excellent value! Staff were very welcoming, attentive but not instructive. Throughly recommend.
