Apart from the decidedly average (at best) food, my main problem is the staff- a... More

Beautiful sunny day + good food + beer garden = perfection! Visited here several times now and I have to say that the food is some of the best in the area.

Stopped here by chance after a long walk. We only wanted a light lunch so opted for the wraps. Waited ages for them to arrive as there was a large group in the restaurant. When they did come they were on a large dinner plate with loads of chips and salad. The quality of the food was good but the... More

My boyfriend and I were stuck in traffic and just happened to pass by this pub. It was a lovely day so we made use of the garden. The pub was very busy but staff worked very well to keep the place running smoothly. A nice barman (with braided hair) said they were short on menus but promised to bring... More

We visited The Sun Inn on the Saturday night of Easter Weekend so needless to say it was very busy. The staff were great though and really looked after us, we weren't in any rush having settled in with a nice bottle of red. We both ordered seafood starters which were excellent and the main courses were just as good.... More

We have driven past The Sun on a number of occasions and have never stopped. However we decided to take the plunge on Mother’s Day. As you would expect it was very busy, however we were shown to our table by our very pleasant server. The menu for a Mother’s day was still very extensive and we ordered our food.... More

4 of us just spent a great evening indulging in the delicious fare on offer at The Sun Inn to celebrate a friend's birthday - tried and loved all of the following between us: Muscles in white wine, pate, scallops and black pudding, belly pork (extra tasty), Thai prawn curry, Salmon special and haggis stuffed chicken breast. mmmmmmm! Staff were... More
