The food was delicious, when it finally came! Took an hour to receive our food after we ordered which wasn't really good enough. I understand that it's a busy period but the reputation of the sun having slow service was confirmed. When we did pay the bill and we're leaving we were informed that we needed to pay an extra... The first time I ate at the sunn inn was on Tuesday. The food was amazing and the portion size's are huge, definitely value for money. The meal was that nice I went back again on Thursday, I recommend this place to anyone looking for for an amazing place to eat in Morpeth.

Whether you go to the Sun Inn as a couple or a large group, you are in for a treat. great for steaks and I defy anyone to be disappointed with the fish and Chips, ( or small whale). One of the best sticky toffee puddings around. Sunday lunch is good value, unlike a previous Review, i can never finish... More

We regularly visit the Sun as a family and have done for a number of years. The menu is eclectic and varied and have to say every meal we've had has been beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are pleasant and helpful, they never rush you and the prices never hurt your pocket and some evenings you can enjoy live... More

I was disappointed after reading the reviews here. Had Sunday lunch as a party of seven and I thought the food was mediocre and bland. The portion of meat was smaller than I've had in other places in the area. The vegetables were served in bowls with mashed swede, mashed potatoes and mushy peas served in the same dish. A... More

We ate here as a larger group involving toddlers. Food is like the Ronseal adverts does what it says on the tin. Portions big and tasty nothing complicated but nothing wrong. Staff are on the young side but do I expect them to know the provenance of the fish on my plate? No, I'm happy with the food arriving in... More

We have visited the sun about twenty times now and always impressed with the service, food, cleanliness, space and price. The only negative point was the lighting and heat within the building as all our guests were extremely warm but that's only being picky. We will be returning.

My family and I have had Sunday lunch here a few times. We normally eat in the bar as opposed to booking the restaurant. You are advised of waiting time when you arrive which may be advised of up to 45 minutes but we have never had to wait more than 30 minutes. Well done for managing customers expectations. The...
