Came here for lunch with 3 friends. Two of us ordered the fish pie which is amongst the best I have eaten. Beautifully cooked fish and huge prawns under a cheese and potato crust. A very obliging waitress took photos of us together on each of our mobile phones. Good weather and outdoor seating made for an excellent lunch.

We visited the Sun Inn on 11th July and were quickly shown to our table on our arrival. The choice beers and wine were good as were the specials on the food board. We ordered our food with a round of drinks and though it was busy the drinks and food arrived promptly. The food was lovely and we enjoyed... More

Great meal, handily located near–ish to the train station. Portion sizes are huge and service very friendly. There was a band playing in the evening we went, which were enjoyable all-rounders but also not too intrusive. A great local gem!

Went here just the two of us for a nice lunch, we hadn't been for years....food outstanding! Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Large portions of freshly cooked and nicely presented food. Good customer service although not overly welcoming when we arrived. Would absolutely go back, will take the children too as plenty of space for them.

I am very lucky that the Sun Inn is only a short walk from my house. The staff are very attentive and friendly creating a pleasant atmosphere. The food is always good quality.... you can tell they use ingredients from local sources. The pints on draught are fantastic, something myself and others appreciate as it's very hard to find somewhere... More

Went for Sunday lunch the place was packed so I was encouraged but I was very wrong the food was very poor almost below average tasteless veg gravy also bland and the meat way over cooked . The service was slow which I put down to it being very busy they weren't unpleasant but the girl who asked if everything... More

Fantastic value for money! The "snack" menu at lunch equals a huge portion of food! The customer service is brilliant.
