Another beautiful Sunday dinner at Barluga, this time had trio of meats and it was lush. I visited with a friend and we had a dinner each, a bottle of Prosecco between 2, a liquor coffee and 3 cocktails each. Our bill was £95 so no this place isn't cheap but that's why I save it for special occasions. We... More

Friends keep suggesting Bar Luga, but my last trip there finished me off. Menu has not changed for some time, does not do what it says on the tin. I ordered a black pudding starter, which when I sent it back to the kitchen was told that there was nothing wrong with it and the french black pudding and egg... More

I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for sometime - however there were some good and bad points to the evening. We were booked in for a meal at 7.30, the bar downstairs wasn't too busy, but it took ages to get served, (the bar staff were making cocktails,so that did slow it down - but only one... More

Met up with friends for a bite to eat. Service very good. All young staff and very attentive. Menu had a good mix of food. Melted Camembert was delicious but three of us shared easily so portion size was big. They have an excellent coffee/pudding choice. £4.95 for a coffee and small piece of sticky toffee pud or cheese cake.... More

Went for lunch, I had the Tandoori spiced hake and Hazel had the Moroccan chicken, there was not a huge quantity of food but I have been to places were they compensate the poor quality with quantity. The food was excellent and when Hazel asked for extra yogurt it arrived in seconds. We finished with sticky toffee pudding and raspberry... More

We would recommend this restaurant for its lovely location, right in the heart of the shopping centre in town, at the end of the Sanderson Arcade. There are outside tables so on a good day it is a good place to stop for a coffee break or meal and watch the world go by. Coffee is excellent. Food ranges from... More

Sat outside here for a coffee because it was such a nice spot in the sunshine. Friendly efficient service, coffee fine. However, although the place had only just opened for the day, the ground under all the outdoor tables was littered with cigarette butts. Please either ban smoking, or provide ashtrays & sweep up. It gave a bad impression of... More
