Worth a visit

My wife and I visited the Widdrington Inn at lunch time today. This is a very nice pub close to Druridge Bay on the A1068 north of Ashington. There were quite a few people eating there which is a good sign on a Monday afternoon but we were able to get a table without any problem. They have a good... read more

Used this pub on three different occasions with family members and on each occasion we have had efficient service, good food, well cooked and somewhat large portions. A good range of choices - two of our party of five are very careful about what they eat as they have very sensitive stomachs but they have both been able to find... More

My wife and I visited this pub after a 2 year break and were surprised to find it under new management. It was still very popular and there was a waiting list for tables. We were told to expect a half hour delay but we're seated within 10. The food was excellent with fresh veg and big portions. My wife... More

We visited this pub on Easter Saturday at 7:30 pm, and despite it being pretty full, the food and service was excellent. A very nice atmosphere in the pub, a very friendly welcome from the bar staff, ( I think it was the landlady or manageress). The food was lovely, very well cooked. I had the Sirlion Steak & my... Very welcoming atmosphere. Served lunch all in good time. Nice, fresh food. Great choice on the menu and always a nice special on the board.

Arrived Friday tea time without pre booking. No problem, although very busy a table was quickly found for seven of us. Service at the bar by maybes the landlady who was very friendly, just the sort of welcome you like from the host. Menu has something to please everyone. Meals are generous in size and tasty, loved the side side... More

Visited the Widdrington Inn with my partner and had a wonderful meal as always. My partner had the steak and again was not disappointed. Excellent food, service and in a relaxed... More

After being disappointed at another local restaurant we made our way here and the Sunday lunch was amazing and good value for money too, the staff were also really friendly and accommodating for a group of 9 of us.
