We visited here last Saturday lunch time after passing by and decided to pop in. The pub does look quite inviting and popular with passing bikers. I had the sweet pepper panini and which came with chips and salad which was nice and my husband and son had fish and chips which we all enjoyed. The staff were pleasant enough... More

Once again a trip to the Widdy did not disappoint,my wife and I were recommended to the special ribs which we had and my goodness the word special did not quite match these exquisite ribs, the meat fell from the bone and was tender, succulent and very tasteful when mixed with the vegetable, mushroom, noodle and Chinese sauce. Once again... More

Friendly efficient staff. Food of adequate standard, the chicken and roast ham of our two visits were a trifle dry and overcooked, and the chips were frozen rather than freshly made. Having said that the food was hot, and the vegetables were ok.

So-Gail said-lets go out for lunch and lets try that pub we drive past loads of times-but never go in. The Widdrington Inn. The pub stands on its own next to a roundabout on the way up to Amble. It's very picturesque with plenty of parking and seating inside and out. The menu is typical Pub food with something different... More

Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Food was reasonably priced but I was a bit disappointed. My belly pork was a little bit chewy but Husband said his burger was great and he couldn't finish which is a first

We've eaten here a couple of times recently and it's been well worth the drive both times. Friendly staff, the choice of two or three real ales and good home cooked food. If you're planning to visit on Friday or Saturday evening it's worth ringing ahead to book a table as it can get busy.

Came in for a bar supper and really enjoyed it. Food was excellent and service was too. Reasonably priced, good all round. Recommended.
