We arrived at about 1pm on a Thursday afternoon there was five of us we were seated immediately and handed menus, there was quite a... More

Ate at this restaurant during our stay in the area. Staff were pleasant if a little unatterntive. Meals are ordered at the bar, we were allocated a table but not shown to it. The food arrived promptly, the meat was excellent ( slow roast pork ), the mash was tasty but the vegetables were disappointing, slightly under cooked and a... More

Spent a week in Northumbria with my Family, visited this pub/restaurant twice. The Food was excellent, and the portions ample. There was a large variety of Food and drink, with the odd real ale thrown in. The staff were polite and courteous, and made the whole dining experience very pleasurable. The inn itself is in Widdrington village

While on holiday found this little country pub hidden away. Family of 5 big eaters walked away absolutely stuff. Would definitely go back if ever down there again. Thanks for a lovely meal.

There was a group of 6 going for a meal on Sunday, there wasn't a table for 6 available, so we had to wait for a table. We only had to wait 10 mins or so. We all ordered different meals, mine was a Beef dinner, the Beef was cooked to perfection and it had just the right amount of... More

During our five days in Northumberland we ate here twice - the staff are very friendly and the service is good and the food is exellent value for money and again the portions are probably sufficient for two adults. On the first visit I had the salmon, spinach and pea tagliatelle and although I was full I was enticed into... More

A group of us went to celebrate our friend's 80th birthday. We had great service and very tasty, well presented meals. The staff were extremely helpful and we didn't wait long for our meals(pre ordered) They kept our surprise birthday cake in the kitchen for after our meal. Even though they did not supply the cake they gave us all... More

We visited on a sunny day in July. There is a fantastic space outside for drinks in the sun. We ate inside and were served immediately. Staff were quick, friendly and attentive. Food portions were very much sufficient (although I couldn't imagine ordering a 'large' portion). We ordered a sweet chilli chicken panini and a pulled pork baguette. Both were... More

Having lived in the town for a while, we eventually decided to try out the food here. The pub itself is beautifully presented, with stylish decor and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very helpful, sat us in our seats, explained that you order food at the bar WITH a table number (some places neglect to tell you this... More
