In the last few months my family and I have visited the " Wid " on many occasions, usually for Sunday lunch. There is always a cheery welcome from all the staff. A good selection of ales, even cups of tea are served. There is a wide selection of food choice apart from standard Sunday lunch fare. The portions are... More

Visited with friends and was really pleased with the service and food. Waited a while but we'll worth it. The steak pie is excellent and the home made rice pud was really good served in an Irish coffee glass with strawberry garnish and home made shortbread biscuits. The management are really nice too and take the time to talk to... More

We visited here while in the UK in August. My partners last name is the same as the pub so we just had to visit Widdrington, in particular the famous Widdrington Inn! We were a group of 4, I ordered a beautiful and tender pork belly roast and my partner ordered the pie meal. Very cheap but oh so beautifully... More

What can i say about this little gem tucked away on the Northumberland coast line. The food is outstanding, a big hats off to the chef who obviously knows how to cook very well. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a welcoming hello and a smile, which these days is very hard to find in some places.... More

i wanted to try a traditional English Sunday Roast and as we passed this place we thought we would try it. Wow, a cosy place and very busy and I could see why, the food was very cheap (especially compared to Aberdeenshire standards!) and a huge plate of home cooked food, with thick cut slices of beef. It was exactly... More

Decided to have lunch here with friends mid-week. There is a good choice of food, all homemade and at a very reasonable price. We all had homemade steak pie with vegetables which is available as small,or large portion. The small portion is very generous while the men in the party had the large portion and again this was very good.... More

Many of our friends told us about the Widdrington Inn and what exceptional value it offered. So on a dark, wet November evening we ventured down to this country inn not sure what we would find. The moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and shown to our table, The drinks were very reasonably priced and the menu extensive for... More

Beautiful meal yet again. The pub has been decorated so its alot nicer since the new owners have took over. Staff are very friendly. If i have 1 complaint which is a tiny one is to upgrade the menus as there abit shabby now. Thanks for a wonderful meal
