Went with friends and were pleased to have booked as the place was full of diners. Predictable pub menu, but the portions were small or large! I didn't notice this when ordering and was horrified at the size of the steak pie when it arrived. Unfortunately it looked like a 'dogs dinner' as there were lots of lovely veg, chips... More

We used to eat here regularly years ago but it went off the boil a bit with very bland food. Had not been for a couple of years but happy to report that with new menus, helpful staff and very tasty food the Widdy has returned to decent quality affordable food. Lovely starter of cod strips, salad & dip so... More

We were struggling for a restaurant for a good Sunday dinner, not anymore what a fantastic place. Staff were 5 star, service 5 star, food 5 star. Absolutely top quality.

We went here for Sunday dinner, it was very busy and we had to wait a short while, it was well worth it as the food is great, very big portions and very reasonable price. The staff are very friendly, I would go back next time I am over that way.

Ate at this restaurant during our stay in the area. Staff were pleasant if a little unatterntive. Meals are ordered at the bar, we were allocated a table but not shown to it. The food arrived promptly, the meat was excellent ( slow roast pork ), the mash was tasty but the vegetables were disappointing, slightly under cooked and a... More

Spent a week in Northumbria with my Family, visited this pub/restaurant twice. The Food was excellent, and the portions ample. There was a large variety of Food and drink, with the odd real ale thrown in. The staff were polite and courteous, and made the whole dining experience very pleasurable. The inn itself is in Widdrington village

While on holiday found this little country pub hidden away. Family of 5 big eaters walked away absolutely stuff. Would definitely go back if ever down there again. Thanks for a lovely meal.
