We went back to the Pepper Pot on a recent stay in Northumberland. As previously the service was excellent, personal and friendly. The food was even better, and (especially if you are in time for the early bird special and/or do BYO) amazing value. My special of wild salmon over linguine with crab, squid, prawns and mussels was superb, huge... More

My husband and I went midweek on the off chance we got a table which we did only just. Service was attentive. We both had sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. We both asked for our steaks to be well done. Steak tasted fab but when we got into middle of steak we could see that the steak was rare in... More

Living in morpeth my while life I had unbelievably never been to PepperPot. We decided last minute to pop in for evening meal last week and it was a wonderful surprise! For a Tuesday night I was not expecting such a busy place, but there was a table free and the atmosphere was great. I ordered a pasta dish which... More

Saw ad' in Living North Mag which looked as good as the website. Ad advised booking. After leaving several messages, we were told they don't take lunchtime bookings. Went along today with my daughter. 1.00 pm, 2 couples in tiny restaurant with 2 waitresses (good ratio) Ceiling is very stained looks like water damage, walls dingy with holes where pictures... More

Booked up for early evening dinner for 4 adults & 3 kids and allow the place is really quite small it didn't feel too cramped. Menu was really interesting with a mixture of pasta, pizza and fish dishes along with steaks all prepared to order. Kids menus also available along with early bird specials at under £10 for 2 courses.... More

Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. BYOB idea is excellent for wine buffs but we were happy to chooses from wines in the restaurant. Presentation and quality of food very good.

Great local food, well cooked. Bring your own wine from bin 21 up the street. Great little bistro. Would recommend for anyone who likes good food.

Visited with my Mum for lunch on a Friday. Really can't fault it at all. I had a cold and was provided with a large carafe of tap water to help. The waitress was lovely. She was very helpful and attentive. The menu was reduced from that available in the evening, but it really didn't need more choice. You could... More
