I came here for Christmas day, the food was amazing, the service was amazing and the place itself was beautiful. It was the first time I have been since it has been done out, it looks brilliant inside, this place is highly recommended :)

The Northumberland Arms is located in a lovely village, it's beautifully decorated and has a very cosy feel. The staff were very friendly and worked extremely hard. We had booked our table but had to wait half an hour to be seated, this was a little annoying as people who came in later than us but were in larger groups... More

This establishment is not just a restaurant. It is also the local. It is also an exquisuite hotel. The rooms are impeccable. We were unsure of our travel plans as we were 5 hours away. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived, checked in and whisked off to see family in Felton. We had already been met on the stairs... More

Had a table reserved at 19:30 last Friday night. Although we enjoyed the food eventually, there were a number of issues which left us feeling very disappointed in the overall evening. Firstly, there is no vegetarian dish on the menu. The vegetarian option was on the specials board and was nut roast (nut roast in January, simply implies left over... More

Visited on Friday evening for what must be the 10th + visit. Lovely meal, great service and good value. If you haven't been yet, you must go. Having visited St Mary's Inn, Stannington lAst Friday and been disappointed, there is simply no comparison.

Have visited rooms on previous visit when restaurant less busy as always looking for nice places to stay and would not hesitate to stay here if I could find an excuse as only... More

Booked a table in the restaurant on New Years Day - we both had 3 courses of delightful food . The staff were extremely friendly & efficient despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy . Retired to the bar following our meal & enjoyed a few drinks while listening to an excellent local band called The Memphis Suns... More

We have dined at the Northumberland Arms a few times in the past and decided to have dinner there on New Years Eve. Expensive but exceptional, well worth the price we paid. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were very very busy that evening. The starters were interesting although I was disappointed to see warm water... More

Our local 'Secret Diner' rated the Northumberland Arms highly in a recent review so my wife and I decided to drive up there today, Boxing Day, on a whim, to see if he was right. He was! This is a proper old coaching pub (although it hasn't always been) in the very pretty village of Felton and overlooking the beautiful... More
