Good food - reasonably priced

Monk fish cooked perfectly. Didn't like sharing a large table when I arrived but given my own table when it became available.

4 adults 3 dogs, all well behaved! Coffee and gorgeous scones, warm welcome. Enjoyed it so much went back for lunch after long walk. Crab Mornay, bowl of chips, crab sandwiches and smoked haddock all beautifully presented and tasted lovely. Thanks so much, will be back soon. PS - love the decor!

This restaurant had been recommended to us. The staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. The ambience was fine and the toilet facilities well above average. The cakes and coffee were good but the sandwiches were disappointing. In particular, the crab sandwich which was advertised outside had the tiniest amount of crab possible in it, in a mayonnaise sauce of some... More

After hearing that this place had changed hands, we decided to give it a try. The menus have a great selection and everything is a very reasonable price. We had kids with us and the staff went out their way to give the young ones anything they wanted. We returned a few weeks later (in a rush) and was able... More

I have visited Audela 3 times since the place has been taken over and what a difference! The staff are friendly and welcoming and each time the food has been lovely, on the last occasion it was a girly evening with 8 of us and while most of the girls feasted on burgers and fresh fish and chips I noticed... We stumbled across this restaurant by accident whilst strolling around a distinctly 'closed for business' Berwick on Sunday afternoon. In all fairness it was quite cold and blowy and not really tourist weather but this lovely little restaurant welcomed the two of us and our four legged friend into its warmth. I went for the traditional Sunday lunch (pork) and... More

We visited 'Audela' - the new name for this Bridge St restaurant on a Wednesday evening to celebrate a family birthday. The meal was super. Generous portions of very fresh, nicely matched flavours: courgette & wild garlic soup was genuinely home-made and served with great hunks of granary bread; crab and crayfish salad was scrumptious; local heritage potatoes made an... Fresh from the take over and make over this is a brilliant place to go. Did think the menu was a bit pricey but also got offered the day menu which is a bit cheaper, food was so fresh,it was well worth the money. Cocktails are to die for. Cannot fault the service at all,it was really busy but staff didn't... More

We stumbled on this place after finding everywhere else closed on a Sunday. We had the roast beef Sunday lunch and a couple of lovely starters of crab salad and a baked goats cheese. Service was spot on and friendly and the two for a tenner cocktail deal they have on a weekend is a bargain. Thoroughly enjoyed it and... More
