Audela has a lovely atmosphere and serves delicious food and coffee

I always order the local Crab sandwich. The staff are friendly and the food is good. Its a lovely place to stop for a meal after your shopping on Bridge street.

Eat here on a wet Friday night. We were given a lovely warm welcome with excellent service throughout the night. The menu had a range of options . The venison was exceptional. Good quality food at reasonable prices. If in the area it is definitely worth a visit. It had a couple of tables who appeared to be regulars which... More

Another excellent evening in Audela great welcome, service and stunning meal. The food sparkles with flavour like a Klimt painting. Use of surprising ingredients give the meal unforgettable taste contrasts. Staff never rush you and we were not left waiting for the next course. Whole heartedly recommend this delightful little restaurant.

Visited Audela today with two friends who were visiting Berwick. As always the food and service were top class, so nice to show off this lovely place to visitors. One of the best things about Berwick is this restaurant. Delicious belly pork, lovely smoked fish and gorgeous home made cakes. We then sat chatting for ages over coffee with staff... More

Audela had a 'tasting menu' on Hogmanay (31 December) 2015 and, intrigued, four of us went along. It was a BEAUTIFUL meal. There were about ten courses served gently and perfectly over a four-hour period. Each of the dishes were small but perfectly formed and we left replete but not stuffed. Each member of staff was professional, efficient, helpful and... More

Three of us visited yesterday for lunch - with 2 of us having eggs benedict, honestly the best I've had in a long time. Staff very friendly and attentive, warm, cosy decor - we sat in the window and watched the world go by. Cakes and puddings looked delicious, we shared one between three. Loads of interesting shops along this... More

We were recommended it by the hotel we were staying at and were very grateful for that. A friendly welcome and a nice atmosphere. Despite it being quiet it took a while to have our orders taken, but the staff were friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be the size of my main compared with my fiancé's - it... More

Not been for a while, but called in for lunch today. Excellent soup, crab and salmon risotto. The sharing platter of fish was excellent - crab was so sweet, gougons of fish very good. Scallop dish with apple very tasty. Traditional fish and chips with mushy peas also excellent. Friendly, excellent service, one of the best.

I had a lovely Eyemouth smoked haddock with a poached egg, hollandaise sauce and 'sauté potatoes'. Although the food was generally delicious, the so-called sauté potatoes were not diced and pan fried as they should be. They appear to have been boiled or microwaved with butter added (see attached photo). This was a somewhat disappointing basic error. Back to the... More
