Weve just returned from the Barn at Beal, after having had a delicious dinner & the sweet was delicious. The Staff are polite and friendly and look after our every need.!!!! The Game board was ordered by my Grandson & he said everything was "absolutely fabulous".!! My husband & I are regular diners at The Barn at Beal, & have... More

It's difficult reviewing this place. My partner and I had lunch here on a cold, November 2014 day. The staff were lovely and helpful! We decided to have a portion of the haddock and chips and the seafood platter and would share both. Had we just had the haddock, this would have been five stars all the way! The portion... More

This restaurant & coffee shop is situated just before you drive onto the Causeway to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. There is also a gift shop & a large screen shows the progress of the tides across the Causeway. PLEASE CHECK SAFE CROSSING TIMES. The views of Holy Island & Bamburgh are wonderful. There is also a campsite with grassed... More

Visited for lunch recently. The food was beautiful plenty of fresh prawns and fish and chips to die for. Unfortunately the meal was a little soured by the service. We had 3 different individuals equally as sour faced and seemed reluctant to be at work trudging up and down serving people. We felt that as a couple we were pretty... More

How can anyone leave a review of a restaurant when they havent even eaten there. I was so shocked to read that I felt I had to let you know of our experience. We were there on a beautiful warm sunny day when sadly outside tables were full. Seated inside four of us all had something different for lunch and... More

Came here for lunch only to find that without a reservation there was no chance of us getting a table for at least an hour 'and I'll leave you to think about that' was the cheery comment the waitress left us with. The food which we saw going to tables looked good but my elderly Mother couldn't have waited that... More

I read your recent review with interest. I'm really surprised that you have taken the time to write a review and award us a very poor 2 stars when you didn't even dine with us! You are correct that it is essential to book during busy times, certainly on weekends or during school holidays. We try very hard to accommodate... More

A lovely place to stop to admire the views of Holy Island. Large car park so no trouble trying to park. We had a smashing coffee together with a piece of coffee and walnut cake for me and a cookie for my husband. We sat outside as we had a dog with us but nice place to sit as the... More

Called for lunch after coming off holy island. Lovely spot with a great view. Both had the meat pie and chips. Absolutely beautiful. Rammed full with meat with thin pastry. Just how pie should be! The coffee and cakes were also scrummy. Friendly service. Lovely clean toilet facilities. Even a TV to watch the tide come in! Only downside for... More

We stopped here mid morning for a cup of coffee and what a gem it is. Easy parking, toilets and fabulous food freshly made on the premises. Plenty of tables and a few sofas too. Friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The fruit scones were delicious. There are local artists paintings and photos for sale on the walls,... More
