Great Coffee

Stopped here quite by accident and decided to have coffee and cake. Both of which were excellent and reasonably priced. Great views over to the Holy Isle, worth a visit

Had a good trip to The Barn at Beal this weekend - camped for the first time, and although the camp itself has stunning views, it's frustrating firstly not being able to park next to tent, and secondly having to queue to use the 'facilities' one ladies shower and one ladies loo between whole camp - there are new ones... Thank you for reviewing the Barn at Beal. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip and understand the points you have made. The reason that we ask people to leave their cars in the car park is firstly so that other campers are not disturbed by cars coming in and out (this has safety implications also) and secondly so as not... This a super resturant, we have been at lunch times but they are open a couple of evenings as well. There is also a new bar serving food. We chose the Ploughman`s Platter , it was massive and very, very tasty. I wished i had taken a photo of it,

We had a meal at The Barn at Beal whilst we were on holiday in Northumberland. The restaurant was welcoming, and there was lots of room between the tables. The service was efficient and the meal was just lovely, beautifully cooked and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the waitresses. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to others.

Fantastic location - ideal spot to wait for the tide to clear the causeway to Holy Island! All newly scrubbed and spotlessly clean with a webcam to watch the causeway too!

Very varied menu but everything was fresh and looked inviting, sometimes a wait but worth it. Fish and chips very popular during the day, smaller portions available on some meals Restaurant menu ( Fri and Sat ) very good with enough choice for most tastes. Evening meals available in the 'Bar' Not a dubious meal on any of the 4... More

Really nice to camp in the grounds of a coffee shop/restaurant! The coffee was fantastic and the food delicious. Campsite was good and the shower/toilet block was always warm and clean. The showers were great, high pressure and really hot! The view from the campsite was an absolute winner! Would definitely camp here again!

Evening meals only on Friday and Saturday - you need to book - they are that good. Local produce cooked in an interesting and tasty way I had asparagus with a crispy duck egg and egg yolk sauce, followed by Seafood Platter – Crab, Crayfish, King Prawns, Roll mop Herring, Smoked Mackerel, Smoked Salmon and Salmon with salad and bread...
