Great campsite

Really nice to camp in the grounds of a coffee shop/restaurant! The coffee was fantastic and the food delicious. Campsite was good and the shower/toilet block was always warm and clean. The showers were great, high pressure and really hot! The view from the campsite was an absolute winner! Would... read more

Evening meals only on Friday and Saturday - you need to book - they are that good. Local produce cooked in an interesting and tasty way I had asparagus with a crispy duck egg and egg yolk sauce, followed by Seafood Platter – Crab, Crayfish, King Prawns, Roll mop Herring, Smoked Mackerel, Smoked Salmon and Salmon with salad and bread... This farm has diversified from just growing food to serving lovely local produce in their restaurant with views over to Lindisfarne. They have set aside land for cyclists to get to the causeway off road. Also camping available.

We were staying once again on Holy Island and we always make a point of dining at least once at The Barn. Sadly because of the tides this had to be lunch as it was not possible to leave and return to the island in the evening. Everything about The Barn is good. We had the fish and chips and... More

Excellent stop en route to Holy Island, and a great pleasure to sit in a very pleasant space with an excellent view of Lindisfarne while partaking of very good coffee. Border tart to die for. Recommended.

Having eaten here irregularly over the last 3 years after moving to this area we have never been disappointed. The only problem we have ever had, if you think it is a problem, has been the portion sizes which have always been generous to the point of being too much if you are looking forward to three courses. Tonight the... More

Stopped on a return from Holy Island for coffee and scone. Great location and scenery to admire the iconic island of Lindisfarne. lovely scones and selection of baked cakes. Tables outside to sit as well as restaurant. Menu has a good selection and very reasonably priced. Comfy lounge seating and good selection of photographs and goods on sale. Staff are... More

Decided to try for a lunch before visiting Holy Island & wow we weren't disappointed, the food a gluten free fish platter & a very tasty beefburger were excellent & all locally sourced. Both meals were well presented with nice, friendly staff & also very good quality soya coffee. Went back a couple of days later for another coffee &... More

Which has lovely views of the sea, and dogs are allowed in. So if the weather is bad you don't have to sit and freeze outside. Foods was very good.

This restaurant serves high quality food within a newly buit building. The views are amazing. Unfortunatley our table for 2 didn't get one even thought we booked 6 weeks ago! How ever the food was lovely and of high quality. Puddings a bit spartan for choice and no cheese platter either. Overall very good
