Great food, even better service.

We were a large group (15 adults and 8 children) and many restaurants would have struggled with that volume (in noise as well as number!) but we were lucky enough to be served by Kirsten whose warm and friendly personality came coupled with efficiency and attention to detail. We landed on this pub on Easter Sunday and on one of the finest days in the year. It has outside seating which we made use of and plenty of indoor seating, which is important for the bad-weather days that one gets when it's as close to the sea as this is. We were a party of 4 adults and... More

Spent a week in Northumberland and came for lunch here twice with the family. Friendly welcome, good food served quickly, beers and wine list. Particularly good fish & chips.

Enjoyed an evening meal here recently while staying at the hotel. The pub itself is very nice...I loved the decor and the atmosphere was very warm and cosy. It gets very busy though so you definitely need to book a table if you're wanting to eat here! The restaurant section was extremely busy with lots of families and the staff... More

fish and chips to die for! Good selection of well kept ales and thankfully a local bus service back to civilisation. If you like walking it's a fantastic destination pub within easy distance of Beadnell/seahouses.

Stopped here for lunch after walking the coast path. The welcome and friendliness of the young staff was a refreshing change. The food was very good if not a little expensive.

Went on a March Friday evening and the place was busy with local holiday home owners meeting up for the weekend. We were staying nearby at lovely Nanny End, 5 star self catering cottage set in fields behind the Sandhills at Beadnell. You really do need to book but the food and service we had was excellent. Lovely menu of... More

The food in this pub was so nice it made up for it being my turn to drive! I had the belly pork and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife and daughters enjoyed their meals this is large but nice pub, great selection of real ale and a quality lime and lemonade!
