What a find, Wander a very short stroll away from the main market square down Narrowgate and you find Bari Tea. Bari means lovely and it really is. Its modern and airy, serves an extensive menu of loose teas, expertly brewed and a small food menu with a very tasty and very reasonably priced soup and scone offer. The homemade... More

On a day trip to alnwick I had seen bari on TA and so made a plan to visit, fortunately I checked with them on our way to the castle about closing time and was surprised to find it was 4:00 with last orders at 3:30. Anyway, after visiting the castle we got there about 3:20, a bit earlier than... More

Really nice place that we stumbled across before looking at Tripadvisor!! Ambiance just right with such welcoming staff. Calling in for a wonderful courgette and coriander soup, we also had tea, of course! Nicely laid out with local mags and papers. Nice selection for a light lunch or indulge in wonderful cakes

On our weekend trip to Northumberland my friend and I visited Alnwick for a couple of hours. Whilst walking around this beautiful town my friend and I fancied a brew. We eventually stumbled across Bari. I normally only drink English breakfast when out and about as most people don't know how to make authentic green tea to bring out it's... More

We visited this teashop whilst on holiday in Alnwick and had a lovely experience. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly and the the variety of teas on offer was extensive. The quality of the food was good and the overall experience very pleasant. Would highly recommend.

This is a short walk away from the castle and a very good place to head if you fancy a break from exploring the castle (you can go in and out of the castle on a day ticket). It was lovely to have somewhere nice to sit down and enjoy a relaxing pot of tea. We had the homemade soup... More

We stumbled across this Tea room while in Alnwick, a great relaxed vibe to enjoy the wide selection of teas on offer. A good selection of green teas, with the pot seemingly ever lasting! The cafe looks quite dark and was quiet when we first peered in, but I'm glad we made the decision to try it. I also tried... More

Being a tea drinker and a coffee hater this cafe was heaven for me. Usually people have loads of choice of coffee but here it's the tea drinker's turn to peruse the menu and feel spoiled for choice by the different teas on offer. I chose the Russian Caravan which was wonderfully smoky. My family also enjoyed the experience. We... More
