Great value for money and delicious food

Cafe Tirreno offers great value for money. I had the 12 inch Parma pizza for £7.95 and my husband had a mixed topping pizza for the same price. They were really good! Hot, tasty and a generous topping. We had the tomato and mozzarella salad to share- the helpings are very generous so save your... read more

My wife and I were exploring the Northumberland Coastal area over the last Bank Holiday weekend. We stayed 3 nights in Alnwick. The Caffe Tirreno offered everything a traveller could wish for. Either a quick snack - Pizza or Pasta or a full blown meal. The choice cooking and presentation were first class. And treeific value for money.

It has been a while since visiting this Italian restaurant on Alnwick. As a family of five we opted to visit for an early evening dinner. The children's menu is excellent value with any pizza or pasta plus drink and ice cream for only £5. Portions were the same size as adults so no one left hungry. Atmosphere was cosy... More

Me & my 4 year old son visited early evening last week. Seated quickly, friendly service. Girls made a fuss of my son. Ordered a pizza and spag carbonara to share, both tasty. Left us full, I still ordered cake and forced what I could into my tummy. Fab price. Will be back again soon with him for another date... More

Ok turned up on a Thursday night the place was nearly full, requested a table for 2 and the Italian lady pointed and just said sit there. Oh dear not a great start, it did get better and the abruptness soon disappeared and the Italian lady turned out to be quite talkative, obviously stressed with being busy. The food was... More

We paid Caffe Tirreno a visit during the Easter holidays with a couple of friends and their two kids. It was early evening but it pretty busy nonetheless with a mix of locals, tourists, families & couples. It's nowhere fancy but it's a friendly enough place. The pizza & pasta dishes are pretty good if nothing special. They are, however,... More
