Our friends and ourselves went for an evening here after a very disappointing week of bad hotels and terrible meals. The staff, food and ambience were excellent. There was a wonderful choice of food. The portions were large and extremely tasty. The wine was excellent too. We would certainly recommend. this restaurant. Thank you.

Ordered a take out. Arrived to find they had cooked the wrong order after checking with me twice on the phone. Redid my order, making me wait only to bring out what has to be the most tastless arrabiata I've ever eaten. No veg in there, just a slimy red sauce. Pretty sure it was microwaved. They had set the... More

This local Italian Cafe has a limited menu, but what we had was very tasty. Very reasonable price wise, just don't have a dessert. We were disappointed. Good wine menu & friendly staff.

Arrived mid evening on a Saturday and after a short wait, we got a good table for 4. Restaurant was very busy but food arrived in good time. Starters were mixed with a nice bruschetta but the garlic mushrooms on toast were overloaded and with too much "liquid". Mains were good although one of the pizzas was slightly burned. Although... came here with my husband on tuesday, really really enjoyed it...very good pizzas with a nice thin base, asked for chilli to be added to my pizza, was no problem at all, Brushetta to start was underseasoned but salt on the table fixed that.... my only problem was that there was only one waitress, she was having trouble keeping up... We arrived at tea time on a Saturday and had a short wait for a table. Service was pretty good and the food was classic italian mix of dishes, with a twist - some good twists and some unusual ones. Excellent Whitebait. Pizzas were pretrty good, though the parsnips and carrots in my folded pizza were an unwelcome surprise. Overall,... More

Even better in my opinion than its sister restaurant Il Sopra. Smaller, with a slightly different choice, but still the same excellent quality and value.

Was staying Wednesday night in Alnwick and was recommended to come here by the B and B. Turned up at 5 to nine which was just as well as they stop serving at 9! Nevertheless they said they could fit me in. Sea Bass was all gone, so waiter suggested pepperoni pizza which as excellent. Accompanied it with a nice... More
