Very pleasant staff but be sure to tell them in what order you would like your meal served! Meal itself well cooked and substantial. We went in early and got a table - within 30mins they were turning people away which says a lot.

We visited Caffe Tirreno twice during a short stay in Alnwick, once for dinner and then the following morning for breakfast. The menu covers a lot of the standard Italian dishes with a few more imaginative twists - I had an interesting wild boar ragu on my pasta. The food tastes like something you would get in a private home... More

Excellent pizzas and great location. The value was exceptional. We sidn't have wine as it was only teatime but the table next to ours was querying the house red, the waitress said she didn't know as didn't drink wine so brought them a taster instead!

We had a very pleasant evening in this very busy restaurant, very nice pizzas, great atmosphere and reasonable prices, would go again.

Pizza OK, pasta was the kind of dish I could've made myself in 10 mins. Staff seemed thoroughly uninterested and like we were an inconvenience to their Saturday night, we were ignored a couple of times. Also, our children seemed to be 'in the way' at 6pm on a weekend. Other options in the area.

No waiting, excellent service and Italian food to really savour all at quite reasonable prices. We stayed within 100 yds and never saw it empty, and not just tourists but locals also.

Nice staff on arrival, so thought this might be ok. Then noticed a couple having a meal-or not. They had hardly touched their meals and looked unhappy. Now not feeling that confident! Had my meal and it was poor, two other meals average at best. Thick Pizza, ok tells me not authentic Italian straight away. My wifes meal was just... More

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is excellent. Our second visit and we will go back when next in Alnwick

Just back from a lovely meal at Caffe Tirreno. Leave space for a desert! We shared one - Ameretto, Orange Cream and Chocolate. Service was slow but the kitchen had a problem with the hob so it was understandable. Could not fault front of house. Spend the day at Alnwick Castle and Gardens and then eat at Caffe Tirenno -... We had a lovely meal here. Good service and quality food. Excellent steak. My only minor complaint would be that it was very dark around our table and hard to read the menu!
