Cracking Italian food

Unfortunately we were only after a light-bite, so had bruschetta and chips, both of which were delightful and made us wish we weren't booked up for a big meal in the evening. The rest of the menu was of good variety and sounded beautiful. The food arriving at the other tables looked very tempting.

Ideal for early meal before the Theatre. Especially when 3 other restaurants we had approached couldn't cater for us! No bookings taken here.

Nice, wholesome food. Not the most exciting meal I've ever had, but a long way from the worst. Service was prompt, waitresses friendly. Good choice of the usual pizza, pasta, risotto with some chicken and meat dishes too. Good value, would go again.

My brother and I were looking for a meal without being able to book last Friday evening. Our B and B landlord suggested Caffe Tirreno and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and staff friendly and welcoming. It is not a formal place; but lots of buzz and and very good meal. The home made ice cream was... More

We has a very enjoyable meal at this restaurant which employs very friendly and attentive staff who dealt with all our queries with the utmost politness. The brushetta for starter was of excellent quality and there were no qualms with the mains and all at a reasonable price. Would recommend this restaurant without a moments hesitation.

Cheap and cheerful Italian cafe in Alnwick. Great place to get fed for not a lot of money. Service is friendly, although can be understaffed and might occasionally take a little too long to get your drink, or some such thing (might be just one server for the whole place). My fiancé and I were starving and started with an... More

Visited this establishment around 17.00 today 20th November 2014. Great welcome from a young lady at the counter. I asked about the types of Pizzas and she suggested the vegetarian option and so we created a bespoke pizza, which took about 20 minutes. Definitely worth waiting for. We are in Alnwick for 5 days from London and I can tell you... More

What a great place. Unpretentious. Good, uncomplicated food. Excellent value. Really friendly service....especially from the Polish-Italian lass. We'd read a TA review where they stormed out after so-called abuse from the chef and waitress. I'm so glad we ignored it...our last night in Alnwick and we couldn't have picked a better place. Just be aware that you can't book, so... More

You can't reserve a table here so we were delighted to walk in and a lovely table in the window be empty for us. The menu is extensive and the portions very generous. We both had starters, garlic bread and a pizza each. A bottle of house wine and a beer. All for under £40. The young lady who served... More
