Unfortunately this is no longer in Alnwick. It has been taken over by mevisi Indian restaurant which is great.
Trip Advisor is a real curates egg. For all the useful bits of information, it's now being clogged with rubbish - like this place still being listed. What earthly good is there in a review site which entices someone to a restaurant to discover that the owner and chef are not there, the building has been gutted and made into... More
The Bistro was fantastic as a steak house but has now been sold and has become an Indian Restaurant. Myself and a group are going to try tonight so will review tomorrow. The Bistro will be Sadly Missed
We stopped off here, 4 of us including 1 baby and a 5 year old, staff very helpfull as soon as we entered, very clean and professional service and great food! Very reasonable on price too. Will certainly be returning to here :-)
We had the early evening menu with our two young children. The food was delicious and there was plenty of choice for the children too. The staff were friendly and great with the children, it's rare to get a grown up restaurant that is good for families too, ( not that we would have gone any later as its only... More
I have to say that this was a very pleasant surprise. The food and service were both very good and the cost extremely reasonable given the high quality.
Was expecting a really good meal. In reality this was just average, nothing to write home about. Restaurant was very ordinary as an evening venue. Steaks not cooked well.
Thought we would give this place a try as it got good reviews. We had to eat early before leaving on a long trip, and as they opened at 5pm, this suited very well. The staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was a little lacking, but it was very early. We tried the house red which was thin and pretty... More
Fabulous food, not to be missed. If you're wondering where to eat, don't hesitate - this is where you should either book or make the effort to turn up as early-birds and promise to have left before the main event at 7.30. If you eat here and don't like it, then something has gone wrong with the universe.
Always try to do something special on our anniversaries and with vouchers won from a raffle on our notice board itching to be used this was the perfect opportunity. Having booked for 7:30 we arrived and were shown upstairs to a table we'd previously sat at last time *most convenient as we could see our car parked across from the... More
