This is a very nice café in the Alnwick just off the Market Square. Great food, good service friendly staff.

We had lunch here during a day in Alnwick on our recent holiday. There were a few tables outside, and the position of Lilburn's in the (pedestrianised) street meant these were quite sheltered and it felt more like a courtyard than part of a street. There was even one table in the shade which was great as it was sunburny... More

We were recommended to this place by a local B&B but I'll admit I didn't expect too much when we went in as it was just a bit 'clinical' - more like a lunch venue or modern tea room. However the menu was interesting, the food was very good and the presentation and service were excellent. Recommended.

We visited here back in July, we had a child and puppy with us so called in advance the the delightful chap who answered the phone was only to happy to reserve us a spot outside which incidentally was a great little sun trap. The food was excellent value for money, a high standard, served by polite and friendly waitress.... More

Found this place by accident on the evening of 22 Aug 2014 on our way home from Scotland Ordered a small beer & orange juice. Lamb Shank well done for myself and the wife. We were presented with a meal that would not have looked out of place in a top class london restaurant. Not only was it beautifully presented.... More

We stopped for a quick snack (very late lunch or early tea!) before heading out to the Simple Minds Concert. The paninis were excellent, with very tasty fillings. Excellent, friendly and great-humoured service. We will come back for a full meal during our next visit to Alnwick.

This is a really nice local restaurant, a refuge for those of us who prefer independents to chains. The menu is quite inventive, prices reasonable, and service very good indeed. This is a fine place ot eat in Alnwick.
