I was staying at the Travelodge next door and popped in for breakfast at about 11am, opting for the 'Early Starter'. The food was perfectly acceptable - good roadside cafe standard - and the coffee fresh but I was disappointed that they had no lactose-free or soya milk to go with it. When I asked why I was told they... More

We visited the little chef towcester east this morning on the way back from Luton airport. I remember little chef from when I was young as being ok but this was dreadful . We entered to an empty freezing restaurant that looked like it should be pulled down and re bullt, stained worn carpets, ripped chairs, tiles falling off the... More

We ate here as we were staying at the Travelodge which is next door. It was as you would expect fro a Little Chef, clean, tidy and the staff were friendly enough. I would eat there again.

The Little Chef in Bicester was crammed full so we motored on to the Little Chef at Towcester - which was around 15% full. As Groucho says, it is seriously dilapidated. The owners could fix that easily and it is a discredit to them not to have done sor or announced plans to that effect. Staff were friendly and tried... More

This is a very sad broken down first generation little chef that is so neglected it is literally falling apart around the staff. The sad array of broken floor tiles around the interior walls and the deeply rusted hot air fans in the toilets bear testimony to a long story of neglect. The staff were lovely and the food was... I went here for breakfast as I was staying at the travelodge.I was looking forward to a nice English breakfast but was sadly disappointed! The very thin slice of bacon, fried egg with skin skirt, fried bread and baked beans on a cold! plate with a coffee cost me £7.99 which to me was a real rip off! I got a little... More

Called into the little chef at Bicester and wished we had not. We were the only patrons to be seated and the standard of cleanliness was appalling. The building connects through an open room to a Burger King which needless to say was doing brisk buisness. This buisness is destined for the scrap heap. What a shame, they used to... More

On reading & hearing the news that the Little Chef chain was up for sale and may not continue in its present guise we decided to travel the 30 odd miles now required to have our 'last' early starter & olympic breakfasts. I was slightly worried this would be a disaster but, no, it was actually quite good and reminiscent... More

Yes, this does satisfy the necessary criteria for a Little Chef - warm food on an A road at any time of day. The current menu is even quite good. However, the service *here* is consistently very slow. Also, they didn't quite heat everything through this time around. If you're desperate for food, a Little Chef will do but you... More

A good little chef which we had two meals in, food was hot and fairly cheap. Decor a little run down, but didn't ruin the food.
