Good location! Good coffee!

Whilst somewhat annoyed that the coffee arrived really quickly and the panini took a further 10-15 mins. Is it so hard to co-ordinate timing of items in an order? That issue aside: a) Founds Swell on a small pedestrian street off the main street which runs down to the harbour, (really quaint and... read more

When you walk down the Main Street you notice a cafe which is high up on the left side. If you take the time to go up to it and through the cafe you'll find a cafe terrace which looks out over the sea. Lovely place to have a coffee and slice of cake.

Stopped here on the was back to our camp site as we'd spotted it from the sea wall and it looked to have a good view from its terrace. Actually, it had a fantastic view. The cakes were great too. The staff didn't seem to like that we sat at a table they'd not yet cleared. However, it had the... More

We where wandering through the side streets at Robin Hoods Bay it was our first visit to the area and we stumbled across Swell. On first entering it was clear it was a very pleasant place to eat then on noticing a terrace over looking the sea we sat at a table with unrestricted views over the bay and enjoyed... More

We ate brunch at the cafe last weekend and found the food & service very good. We sat on the terrace overlooking the sea which was very nice. Good cakes & coffee, well worth a visit.

We stopped off on our way down to the beach, a lovely little café, friendly staff. Glorious coffee and tea, amazing panninis, I had cream cheese and salami, one of the best sandwiches I've had in ages. Staff really helpful, opened doors at rear so we could get pushchair out on balcony, and enjoy the views

We visited with friends earlier this week. The quality of food and coffee was very good. The 'Steamer' is an interesting alternative to the usual coffee. A clean & pleasant environment. We visited twice over three days. Minor quibbles... on each visit, we had all finished our drinks by the time our bacon sandwiches / cake arrived at the table.... More
