Surprisingly big, warm and friendly pub in a picture perfect village overlooking the village green. We were impressed with the wide range of local ales the A66 was very good. Good range of wines and the menu was extensive and in addition there were lovely specials on offer too. Great and friendly service and good atmosphere. All in all a... More

No matter how many times you go for Sunday Lunch, and my husband and I have been quite a few, the quality of the food is always great. The service from the staff is very attentive and they always look after you. I really would advise you to book as can get busy. can't really say which is best for... More

Lovely pub and restaurant. Food is top notch and with a seasonal change to the menu. Great family run and family friendly restaurant. Friendly attentive team. Very reasonably priced, good selection of brewery ales. The best crispy belly pork you'll ever taste!

My fiancee and I stopped off here last Saturday afternoon to refuel after a gruelling trip to the garden centre. Firstly, it's worth pointing out they have Stella Cidre on tap, which is always a good thing in my books. There is also a great selection of ales and other drinks to suit all tastes. After a well earned pint... More

Popped in to the Stanwick for dinner on a week night. We both ordered sirloin steak and I have to say it was the best steak I have eaten in a restaurant. Cooked perfectly as requested (rare), it had loads of flavour and the fat was fried off so it was crisp and tasty (one of my guilty pleasures). It... More

We have eaten here numerous times and never been disappointed. The Sunday lunch is as good as you will get anywhere is the area and we have tried most. It's not cheffy it has a gorgeous homemade taste and very good value for money. Helen, Cath and Claire are very friendly and welcoming.

There were a nice selection of real ales from local breweries and I opted for a pint of Rivet Catcher which went down rather easily. Next my food arrived and my word it was heavenly. I opted for a steak sandwich... More
