We were absolutely delighted with the use of The Village Inn for our business network evening meeting. The staff had efficiently prepared and arranged the room in advance to best meet our needs. All of the staff were very helpful. I would like to make a special mention to Alex who kindly assisted me in setting up the laptop and... More

A party of four of us came here for mid week steak night. Two of us ordered rib eye and two ordered rump. I ordered mine rare but it was medium, I didn't send it back as we were starving . 2 sides of onion rings and mushrooms. The steak was beutiful even though a little over done . Peppercorn... More

We are regular customers here and we never tire of it- we regularly take friends and family and everyone enjoys the experience. The recent daytime lunch menu for December was terrific- the soup lovely and the pate with black pudding very flavoursome. The turkey main course- beautifully stacked and moist - very nice ! Prawn cocktail has a nice twist... More

I like this place, it is just right for a central village pub. It has enough offers on throughout the week to keep you interested. We have dined here a few times for lunch, steak night and most recently Sunday burger night which was also the Xmas quiz... Good value for money and good drinks selection, very palatable wines on... Yet again John and his staff have provided a first class meal, excellent service and good beer for our walking club annual visit. This year word had spread amongst our members and there were 28 of us however they coped admirably. The Christmas set menu offers plenty of choice and our members made full use of the options. Well done... More

Was here for a Christmas party there were something over a dozen of us along with other parties. The service was spot on and the food was OK and was very good value. The back sheep was up to standard as well and not over priced. Well worth a visit.

lovely warm place on cold dank day - welcomed and situated pleasantly. Salmon pate and ham hock starters all went down a treat followed by turkey and trimmings: hot food on hot plates - amazing! Brownie, cheesecake and crème brulee topped off the meal nicely. Thank you, Village Inn - I continue to recommend you when I get the opportunity.

This place used to be a nice place to eat, After a recent visit and also talking to friends I am starting to change my mind. Poor service and what looked like warmed up food was served on our plate. Shame really as its a nice venue and you normally get good value for money, good service and excellent food.

Dear disgruntled1464, I am sorry to hear you have not experienced your usual high standards or food and service on this occasion. If you would be kind enough to email me direct on villageinnbrompton@hotmail.co.uk with some more information on the date and issues that would be much appreciated. When I arrived and parked up in the roomy car park I noticed a terrace of 11 one story houses and thought it was a bit odd. It turned out that these 'houses' are actually the accommodation rooms. The rooms are modern, having veen recently refurbished. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean and bright. Breakfast was served... More
