Sunday Lunch- always Superb

Regular diners at this establishment - the Sunday lunch is highly recommended -very competitively priced at 3 courses for £16. Food well presented and very tasty - the prawn cocktail comes with a twist a la peppers and onion and the salmon gougons are very good. The beef is 3 substantial slices... read more

This wa one of the rare times when we booked a meal on the basis of the Trip Advisor score (which turns out to be for the hotel) and were seriously disappointed. The menu choices were banale, old fashioned, and despite 3 different menu cards, surprisingly limited. In the end we plumped for haddock & chips. The haddock was tasty,... More

service was still excellent as was the food and atmosphere. only real shame was that the sofas at the bottom end of the restaurant had been removed so nowhere for hotel guests to sit without going back to their rooms.

What a great find this was. Excellent cosy pub with home cooked food, well presented & friendly staff. Definitely give this place 10 out of 10. We will be back & tell our family & friends. Well done village Inn. Al & El

Booked a table for 10th July, I do not like to sit in the centre of a room so we had two choices one next to children ( well behaved ) or with my back to the wall, back to the wall it was. Menu seemed very ordinary, a couple of specials, but what we chose was good, my Thai... More

Really lovely food and amended an item from the menu for us. The fat chips are lovely but remember baguette comes with fries too, which would have been nice to have been told. Very slow customer service.

We called in here on Fathers Day, not really expecting to be accommodated as we hadn't booked. We got the last table. The place was very busy and there was a good atmosphere. We were sat down very quickly, menus produced and drinks quickly supplied. Very good service. The menu offered three options; one, two or three courses. One course... More
