Very friendly cafe with home made food. Excellent value for money. Well worth a visit. Locally home grown products used.

Great, freshly cooked, locally sourced, produce. The full English is my favourite and there is plenty on the menu to cater for all tastes, including a specials board.

We tried this cafe on Market Day: I had a BLT sandwich which on the menu was described as served with salad garnish and Pringle crisps: the sandwich came on its own on a small plate: no salad garnish and no pringles: my 'better half' had a warm bacon/black pudding salad: it was ok but certainly no 'wow' factor: pot... Most visitors to Northallerton will miss this treat, hidden down the Garthway Arcade. Wonderful breakfasts, sumptuous cakes, lovely staff and a cracking cuppa are all available at excellent prices. Always busy, but pleasantly relaxed seating and extra space upstairs, it's one of my favourite places to meet friends.

This tea room has been consistently popular for years. They serve excellent value meals that are much more interesting and varied than you might expect at a tea room. Scones, cakes etc. are apparently all home made, they certainly look it and taste great. Hard to fault really. It is a little cramped perhaps, when full, but you can't blame... More

Visited during the recent forties weekend in Northallerton, cafe very full but plenty of friendly staff coping well. They had a singalong during the morning which was a good idea. Stayed for lunch and had excellent rabbit casserole, the best forties meal we have had at such an event. Very generous portions, roast and mashed potato, 3 or 4 veg,... More
