Betty's Northallerton. Need I say more?

We enjoyed an afternoon treat in Betty's with lovely cakes and drinks in this exquisite Georgian styled tea room. Service was as usual very good, though the maître d does give off a suitably superior vibe! As long as you are prepared to dig deep when the bill arrives this continues to be a... read more

A friend and I went for Afternoon Tea at Betty's Northallerton. The service was slow. We had our pot of tea and hot chocolate first. By the time the food was brought to the table, my drink was almost finished. The lovely young lady who served the tea came and said that they had run out of tea cakes and... More

Betty's has a reputation for quality and service, and you will not be disappointed in either if you head to Betty's. Sure, it isn't the cheapest venue to eat at, but it's great for a treat, the food is delicious, and there is lots of choice on the menu. Always happy to go back here.

Although it was busy this is more relaxing than Betty's in Harrogate and the tables seem further apart. The tea and cakes were wonderful and the service was first class. Its somewhere we could go every week but its 250 miles away unfortunately

Called in for a light lunch and were not disappointed. Had a lovely table in the Palm Room and the quality of our sandwiches was first class. Not the cheapest place to eat but why price quality? Will definitely return.

Three hours into a six hour drive with a three year old and four month baby. Betty's was an elegant break on a hot day with lovely food (well-judged rather than big portions and pricey, but lovely). Children treated very well and the staff stood out.

Called in with wife, mother and young son to celebrate wedding anniversary while up in Yorks - after a short wait just after lunch time peak we were seated in the nice main cafe/conservatory. Great service from Eleanor who really went out of her way to look after us - on hearing we were celebrating our Wedding anniversary she brought... More

We visited Betty's Tea Room at Northallerton today with our children. The service was fine and my husband and I very much enjoyed our lemon and green tea drinks. Unfortunately the food and drink served to our children was very disappointing. The sandwiches were tiny, and unaccompanied with any side salad. Their drinks were also tiny. The cost of their... We had a very pleasant lunch with friends. The restaurant ambience was excellent and the waiting staff were very attentive without being overly intrusive. The meals were without fault and very enjoyable. Yes it's pricey, but you're paying for the excellent package.

Still a great experience. Our friends love it when they come to visit. Not cheap but who cares. The afternoon tea is still a real treat, but virtually everything on the menu is. Outdoor area at the rear lovely if the sun is shining. Busy on market days (Wed and Sat) but if you're prepared to wait you will get... More
