For the prices shown on the menu it better be good. It was, never disappoints. This is a treat venue not for everyday but worth it when you go.
Love eating here. Betty's is like a little oasis on the High Street in Northallerton. It's very traditional with an emphasis on old fashioned service. Food is always very good and service always great. Not the place to come if you are on a tight budget - save it for a treat.
My first impression was of being led to a table by a lady with the charm of a prison warden, who proceeded to hand us our menus. We had plenty of time to watch people come and go as nobody arrived to take our order. My second impression was that the "front of house" lady appeared to believe Bettys to... More
Visited Betty’s while shopping in Northallerton. The café is bright, clean and spacious but the seating arrangement is not for me. Some of the seating arrangements are that you have to sit next to people who are not in your company. There a some private tables but we didn’t get one. The Cappuccino was nice, the cake was nice.-nothing fantastic... More
The staff were superb, service prompt (and it was a very busy wet Sunday lunchtime) and very poilte and the food was lovely. The Croque Mousier was delicious. Also bought some chocolates and biscuits in the shop for my boys and they were consumed at speed - very tasty I was told!
An excellent afternoon tea served by very professional waitresses who were both friendly and polite. We did have a short wait before a table became available but very well organised and were given menus to peruse whilst waiting. All the staff were smartly dressed and very professional and polite both in the restaurant and in the shop. Lovely sandwiches and... More
I thoroughly enjoyed lunch at Betty's with a friend. We had to queue but didn't mind as the queue was well managed and our food arrived relatively promptly once we ordered. I had lunch in Betty's in York a couple of weeks ago and Northallerton was just as good and felt just as special. The staff are professional and friendly.... More
Stopped here for lunch on our way to York last week. Have visited Betty's many times and are certainly not disappointed each time we visit. Yes you might pay a bit more, but you get good service and good food. All very nice.
Dropped into Betty's this afternoon visiting from London, as I have just arrived for business and wanted to grab a few things. Staff are very helpful, although sometimes I do like to be left for a few moments before being asked if I need help, obviously personal preference and I wasn't that bothered. Love the products and as you can... More
This has to be my favourite of all the Betty's Tea Rooms (although I have to admit to not having been to the one at Harlow Carr!). The whole atmosphere here coupled with the conservatory part at the back of the dining room and the outdoor tables are just all "so Betty's". You get the feeling that the staff are... More
