Great Birthday Treat

I decided to bring my mum here for birthday celebrations (she LOVES Bettys!) and I also brought a few other family members, overall we had a great time! Apart from a small wait outside the restaurant, we were seated and served quickly it was great! The food and drink was beyond delicious! The staff... read more

Ah, a trip to Bettys... the food _is_ excellent, and the service is very good too. But, as with all popular places, the speed of service can suffer when it's busy, and it's usually busy. It's busy because it's good, not because it's cheap and cheerful. I normally begrudge paying more than a couple of pounds for a cup of... More

A chance stop after business in Northallerton, and a real treat. Great tea and (Blue Mountain) coffee, great fish and chips, great salads and curd tart. Hazelnut cake was better looking than it tasted (my life in cakes). Overall through it is expensive but it feels like an occasion, better to come here once than lesser places half a dozen... More

Lovely food as expected but oh my! No longer a place for quiet and genteel enjoyment but shrill babies allowed to scream piercingly loudly and waitresses singing Happy Birthday .... very disappointing!

Fantastic food as always at Betty's, never had any reason to complain about the quality, or staff. Just wish we could afford to eat here more often!

Visited Bettys for tea and cake whilst on a shopping day in northallerton - service was fab and cakes gorgeous. Not sure why people would complain about the prices they are clearly shown on the menu and it's worth paying a little extra for the experience!

Visited bettys on Saturday for breakfast . It wasn't particularly busy and there were tables available . However the rude front of house lady plonked menus on a table next to the service bay where there was a plate with left over food on and we were squashed in a corner . After ordering the tea which took nearly 20mins... More

My friend and I had the pleasure of Afternoon Tea at Bettys yesterday. From walking through the doors you feel like you have been transported back in time. The staff are impeccably turned out and the service is to very high standard. The tea was beautiful, the sandwiches fresh and delicious. The scones were moist and bursting with fruit and... More
