Visited in August 2015, with husband and mother in law. Lovely building, great surroundings. The staff were very attentive, polite and prompt with their service. I had the afternoon tea which was delightful and just enough. Not cheap, but it was worth it for the whole ambience and atmosphere. I did try and book a table but this feature is... More

Revisited Betty's Northallerton on Saturday and had a wonderful meal with excellent service and civilised surroundings. The smoked salmon rosti from the specials board lived up to their usual high standards and the chocolate and raspberry bomb for desert from the sweet trolley was to die for. A glass of Pimms was a perfect complement to the meal. I always... More

Went to Betty's for a snack as we had food booked for the evening. We had a cream tea each, it was gorgeous and plenty for us both. Tea was lovely and strong and the scones were lovely. You always get a friendly welcome there and you have the choice of full menu in the main room or snacks in... More

a group of six, including a youngster. We were greeted enthusiastically, made welcome and escorted to our tables. Two of us had pastries which were delicious. Drinks were two different teas, cafetierre coffee, Americano and latte plus a glass of milk. The puzzles for the youngster were engaging and helpful. The atmosphere was unhurried and achieved the company aim of... More

I have always wanted to visit Betty's and I managed to visit when staying with a friend in Northallerton on Friday. When we arrived it was extremely busy but we did not have to wait too long for a table. We were just having a drink and a cake and it was perfect! My company both had the homemade raspberry... More

The best toasted tea cake I have ever had. Melted in the mouth. Beautiful setting. Great service. Shame about the price!

We went for afternoon mid-week as we know Bettys is a popular venue, we arrived just after lunch time and had to queue and wait for about 10 minutes which was fine. We were greeted and seated by a lovely friendly waitress who sat us down and showed us the menu. We knew we wanted the afternoon tea and selected... More

Elegant, fine and delicious. I am an unashamed Betty's fan of many years standing, I buy their products by mail order too. We hadn't been to the Northallerton branch before and we weren't disappointed. We sat in the lovely sunny courtyard at the back although the elegant calm of the main tearoom is lovely - starched tablecloths, real flowers, cream... More
