My husband and I have 'brunch' here every Saturday. The food is always excellent, and the staff are lovely, with the service outstanding. the menu is extensive and the desserts are divine. We find the experience well worth the money as in my view if you want quality, excellent service and good quality food then Betty;s is the best you... More

I love a treat and often eat out in various cafes and restaurants. Thought I'd try bettys to see if it was worth the hype. I think £3.40 for a cuppa is a bit much. The cakes were nice but no better than anywhere else and £4 for a vanilla slice is robbery. The sandwiches again were nice but very... More

We had to queue for a while, but it was worth it.staff were very pleasant, and our order for drinks soon came.Unfortunately the food took a lot longer,approx.40 mins, but apologies were made, and an offer of a drink. The food was delicious,we all had fish,my haddock was amazing, and a very generous portion,my friends had the special dish of the day which was also fish.

Stopped in Northallerton for a coffee early on Sunday morning. We saw a queue outside a tearoom 10 minutes before opening time, which made sense when we saw it wasn't just any tearoom, it was Betty's! The tea and cakes were up to the usual high standards, and our waitress was really friendly, helping us with a route for a... More

Went here with family for first time lady year to try out the famous afternoon tea. Slightly more expensive than other places in the area and it was busy due to its fame in the area so staff were busy and we had to wait a bit. Good food and tea and local produce used. Nice treat if you have... More

Outstanding experience, if in Yorkshire you must visit a Betty's. I particularly enjoy their tea with a warm fat rascal. All of their food is fantastic, beautiful cakes, to all day breakfast, particular favourite, bacon, poached egg, mushrooms and rosti ( the Swiss link). Haddock and chips with pea purée, a must.

Husband and I called in for coffee and tea on a busy Wednesday afternoon. We did queue, however a waitress came and asked if we would like a menu to look at whilst we waited. We decided to have a cake each. The service was excellent and the place is very attractive. The tea, milk sugar etc is beautifully presented... More

Heard a lot about Betty's, brother and his partner rave about it. Seemed to be a lot of hype but never been able to get in at york or harrogate as we don't like to que for long. Went to Northallerton on Sunday and Betty's was open and no Que's!! Decided to have coffee and a
