The best toasted tea cake I have ever had. Melted in the mouth. Beautiful setting. Great service. Shame about the price!

We went for afternoon mid-week as we know Bettys is a popular venue, we arrived just after lunch time and had to queue and wait for about 10 minutes which was fine. We were greeted and seated by a lovely friendly waitress who sat us down and showed us the menu. We knew we wanted the afternoon tea and selected... More

Elegant, fine and delicious. I am an unashamed Betty's fan of many years standing, I buy their products by mail order too. We hadn't been to the Northallerton branch before and we weren't disappointed. We sat in the lovely sunny courtyard at the back although the elegant calm of the main tearoom is lovely - starched tablecloths, real flowers, cream... More

For a British treat Bettys always a treat. Classic scones and fabolous cakes in a nice environment. Worth a stop on your journey.

Once again I have visited Betty's. Always a lovely visit. The shop you cannot walk out without making a purchase. Thank you for another super time.

It's difficult to put a label on Betty's. You could be here 100 years ago and there would be little difference. The staff are friendly and helpful, with just that little touch of formality that harkens back to years gone by. The selection of teas and coffees is excellent, and the menu has a nice variety of offerings. It is... More

Went on a lovely sunny day and was offered a table in the outside courtyard. It was divine. The staff were funny, attentive but not in your face. The food was tasty, very well presented and fresh. Would recommend Bettys to anyone.

First time we had tried this branch of Betty's and the staff seemed a little more chilled than Harrogate or York. But still a formal feel inside. Lovely kedgeree, eggs and muffin and coffee but the bill was a little steep - £4.75 to £6.25 for a cafetiere for one for what is at most 40g of coffee in a... More

There are places as nice and more comfortable to visit. If you are hungry, if you want value for money this is not the place. After our visit we called at 'Thomas the Baker' and ate our sandwich in the park, much more civilised.
