Always great

I love Bettys and have been going for years. The service is always impeccable and the food of a consistently high standard. On my last visit I had a seasonal rhubarb crumble and it was one of the best puddings I have ever had. An old favourite that's worth queueing for.

Very dissapointed,I had eggs Benidict on a muffin, the muffin was as tough as leather, the chips tasted like they were out of a freezer,my Daughters Yorkshire Rarebit was just their name for a simple toasty, won`t be rushing back and paying those prices for such poor quality food

We stopped by for a coffee and a cake with little time to spare. The warmth of reception was genuine and we were shown to a comfortable, discrete table in the tea-room area. The coffee was ok, not the best I've ever had but certainly not the worst either. The cake was lovely, warm and fresh. The style of service... More

Once again Betty's delivers. Excellent service, wonderful fresh food and proper coffee. Also a lovely warm atmosphere which the staff contribute to a lot. It is and has been for years a joy to visit. It may be a little more expensive but at least you know you will not be disappointed. Thank you.

Enjoyed the traditional experience of this tea room. Good service and great food. Enjoyed a warm toasted scone with a pot of tea. Would certainly recommend this tea shop and will certainly visit again if visiting the area. Found the easter products irresistible in the shop and could have easily been tempted to buy all the buns

This is a excellent restaurant we only had a afternoon snack but the standard of food and service was excellent we had a very smart and helpful waitress but why do cafes and restaurants site their tables for two people so often with one person facing a wall it is so inconsiderate of the restaurant they do this even when... Visited here for afternoon tea with a friend on Monday 2nd March. We opted for afternoon tea for two, which was ok, however expensive at £18.50pp for basic afternoon tea. local country house hotels charge around the same for this with a lot better service and quality products.

Yesterday I was at a loose end for lunch and visited Betty's. I waited in the queue for about 5 mins and was happy to be given a table for one at which I settled down to read my paper. When the waiter asked for my order I asked for the recommendation which was cream of celeriac soup and Yorkshire... More

Everything is of a premium quality, very popular when we visited mid afternoon on a Friday. Slight queue but we got there in the end. My smoked Ribblesdale cheese was outstanding. You pay for the experience and it is worth the money.
