Fantastic Sunday lunch!

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here today! Two Yorkshire puddings - I was in heaven! Gravy and mash were great! Pudding were also lovely. The staff were fantastic and so helpful. I can't deny that the decor has seen better days but I imagine that it's a tough business these days and to be honest... read more

Ate here on New Year's Eve and had the best food we've had in a long time. The home cooked portions were enormous and excellent value for money. The staff could not do enough for us and were truly exceptional. I had the gammon which had been freshly delivered by the butcher that day - it was outstanding. The others... More

So welcoming and amazing food. Very cosy pub and the staff are so respectful. Very homely and warm. The food is outstanding and is homemade. The land lady and the staff are very polite towards guests. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a great meal/night!

There's no car park so parking's on the road, but as it's a small village that's not a problem. The place gives an immediate vibe of being warm and cosy with friendly staff so first impressions were good. Menu was about as you'd expect, except there was rabbit pie which was a great find and was exactly as it used... More

A small and cosy interior with really friendly staff to all their customers, local or tourist .(I am a tourist!) A small menu, but excellently cooked, good portions (I had Steak pie, my wife had Rabbit pie) and fair value for money.

What a lovely pub. We received a really warm welcome we had a container filled with the lovely ale to take back to primrose valley to enjoy and returned for a meal, we both had the steak pie this was probably the best pub meal we have had, and everything was top notch. The pub itself is full of really... More

Hungry after a long walk to Flamborough head, On our return we found this place quite by accident. The food was advertised as home cooked and my goodness they were right. I opted for the traditional sunday lunch and was not disappointed. In true yorkshire style the plate brimmed with FRESH vegetables and Yorkshire puds to die for. The dining... More
