Found this pub via Tripadvisor recommendations & had the Sunday lunch a couple of times in 2013. Twelve months on, nothing has changed, we once again had Sunday lunch & the quality of food, portion size, price & service by the staff has been maintained. Excellent. Sunday roast sees a choice of beef, pork or chicken, all perfectly cooked, accompanied... More

Visited on a very miserable wet day after reading trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. With our 11yo, 8yo and 18mth children, we were welcomed warmly and showed to our table. We ordered our food (I had rabbit pie, 1st time in years) very delicious. The kids were given colouring pencils and paper as we waited, we looked at... More

You could easily drive straight through Muston and past The Ship Inn but we are so glad we stopped! We hadn't booked but the lovely land lady found space for us, was brilliant with our toddler and made us very welcome. The food was quick to arrive and wonderful- after a few days at a nearby holiday park we were... More

The Ship Inn Muston Near Filey North Yorkshire What a great pub! We last called in for Father’s day and had the Sunday lunch (Choice of Beef or Pork) with mash and vegetables plus the biggest, freshest Yorkshire puddings and plenty of rich home-made gravy (and more vegetables if you need them). The Ship is a traditional Yorkshire Pub. unpretentious... More

We visited the Ship on Tuesday this week whilst staying at Primrose Valley and we enjoyed our meal so much that we couldn't resist returning again on Thursday evening. The food was excellent value and the staff couldn't have been nicer, especially taking time to chat to our 2 year old son. Our favourite meal was the giant Yorkshire pudding... More

We decided to take the folks to Filey for a weekend, whilst here I searched for a dog friendly pub in the area and I'm glad I did. The Ship Inn is a hidden gem, a proper british pub full of character and a warm welcome from all the staff. The food was delicious and the chef was more than... More

At first view the sign saying that the car park and beer garden are not being used, doesn’t seem too appealing, however the inside of the pub is quirky and interesting. It’s full of knick knacks, photos, old sea memorabilia, and has lots of character. It offers a range of guest beers, but the Sam Smiths Bitter was excellent. The... More

Went for an early evening meal here- what a pleasant surprise. Unbelievable welcome, nothing too much trouble and a fantastic atmosphere. Well done to the staff. Never ordered a meal before and asked what sauce I would like, made to order. You tell them what you would like and they will supply. We had a lovely red wine sauce to... More

After Mothers Day spent at Filey mountain biking and playing on the beach our grandchildren were tired, hundgry and disheveled. Spotted this pub and popped in.What a wonderful surprise. Good beer, lovely Sunday roast for the adults and the children could have anything in small portions. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner, staff and other customers were very welcoming.... More

We visited this pub whilst on a weekend away for my mums 60th birthday in September. There were 6 of us and had planned to go to another pub for a meal but it was closed. After searching Trip Advisor we rang and booked a table here instead. When we arrived I wasn't too sure we'd done the right thing.... More
