This is not your normal Little Chef, it is one of the few Heston Bluementhal upgraded sites, and the food is as gourmet as you can get at a fast food outlet. The service was very good, both my MD and I had the ox cheek braised in red wine served with creamy mashed potatoes. Superb.

What a surprise! A pleasant surprise! We were travellng on a64 going out to Whitby when we hit a traffic jam. We realise it was race day at york so turned in to the little chef to wai for it to disperse. It was busy. There were coaches using it as a comfort stop so the staff were asking for... More

We stop of at loads of Little Chefs on our travels and this has to be one of the nicest -the new look to it is great and the food was lovely - the prices seem to have dropped in general but it hasn't affected the food - we had to Olympic breakfasts and they were great..we will definately stop... We stayed at the adjoining Travelodge for three nights and went to the little chef each morning for breakfast. Very clean, staff pleasant, breakfast quick and hot. Also good value.

We were staying at the Travelodge adjacent to the Little Chef so we decided to eat here for breakfast. Had 2 breakfasts as stayed for 2 nights. The restaurant has had the new Heston upgrade making it look more American Style compared to other Little Chefs which are more retro looking. On the first day we had single baps for... More

This is a pleasant Little Chef just on the A64. The service was very good and we were treated to very attentive service. We had Bacon and Sausage sandwiches and the filling was good but the bread could have being fresher. The star was the coffee which was excellent for this type of café. I would try again as the... If you know me you'll ask what I was doing at a Little Chef anyway - but I've always had fond memories of the place from road trips with dad decades ago. This place looks great on the inside, diner style, but not over done. Shame it smelled of fat quite so much, but I guess if everything is deep... More

I am in the area a lot, and I have fallen into the habit of always calling here for either breakfast or lunch. The quality of the food in unquestionable, and the Little Chef serves up the biggest and best cheese omelette that you could ever want. The place is clean, pleasant; the staff are friendly, fun and eager to... More
