A very nice experience

we called in as we were passing and were in need of a lunch - the place is quaint and old fashioned but the food and wine were very nice - table service and vegetables all served family style in separate dishes and lots of them, new potatoes, carrots, cauliflower, cabbage and swede. Very pleasant... read more

This is a delightful venue in every respect. The food is excellent, locally sourced and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and prompt with a warm welcome. The tables - even at lunch time - are beautifully laid with linen and silver. A faultless experience.

We visit this restaurant once a year when we pass through Lincolnshire so we have experienced the food and service several times. First BOOK, the quality, quantity and service make this a very popular venue especially at weekends. What do you get? A pleasant country inn venue with lovely fuchsias to look at, first class and quick service, good food... More

Sadly we were only here for a quick lunchtime drink and a light bite – as the place seems excellent. Thoughtfully decorated, with friendly staff and good food. We thought we’d be eating in the bar area, as we’d only ordered one plate each, but no: we were ushered into the linen-and-table-setting ambiance of the dining room. The inn is... More

We went here last Sunday on the advice of reviewers and we shall go back often. Lovely welcoming admosphere, very polite and professional staff and great food. Lovely beef and loads of fresh veg, piping hot. We left room for pudding and was very glad we did. My husband had banana and toffee cheesecake which was gorgoeus and I had... More

We love the Queenshead as a family, as a couple and even on my own. The staff are so professional, happy and very courteous, the management can't do enough to make you feel welcome and the food delicious, especially Sunday lunch. It is cosy and comforting and anyone who says otherwise have had the unfortunate one off day or they're... More

On a Tuesday evening the restaurant was very busy, however as we hadn't booked we didn't feel like we were squeezed in. Vegetables perfectly well cooked. Desserts a little large for us never the less we managed to eat them! Overall good food, great service at a reasonable price.

We called in on the off chance, got a seat in the bar which was great. The staff were professional and attentive. We had the roast sirloin with yorkshire pudding. Beautiful. Best Sunday Lunch we have had out in a while and we will hope to return again soon.

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime and it was quite busy, the restaurant was hot, but it was a red hot day, we had a party of eight and every plate was cleared, even my sister never moaned at the food, so it must be good, the service was spot on and the £8.95 menu is very good... The location and decor (from what I could see and know) had me hesitant about visiting here. However, a friend insisted and I'm pleased she did. I consider myself quite hard to please when eating out;although it is like stepping into your grandmothers living room the food and the service quite simply top others in this area. An English menu... More
