Stopping off in The Barge is a MUST whenever I'm in town wether it's with the lads, with the missis or killing time with the kids waiting for the train home. Always an amazing pint and the food is probably the best in Grimsby! Hats off to Katie, Gracie, Kelly and the rest of the gang for making The Barge... More

Food was nice , but wasn't very hot.. We did get a check back, although we said everything was fine. Well my food was fine.my guests was a little bit disappointed with there Sunday roast. As Veg was raw, and the gravy wasn't that nice. Staff on their mobile phone while at work was a big issue for me, and... More

Been to the Barge a few times now on a Monday for lunch and have always been real satisfied with the food, but on this occasion not! My friends was very nice and thoroughly enjoyed her Smothered Chicken and it looked real appetizing.I chose to have the Fillet Fish Burger and never again it was not nice...it just tasted of... More

If you want relatively cheap, decent pub food, with good portions so you aren't left hungry afterwards, go here. I've eaten here on a few occasions, it is consistently good. The staff are helpful and friendly, I also asked for one meal without an ingredient, and that was not a problem. Recommended.

My son took me to the Barge for a lunchtime meal, what a great choice it was. Two main meals and a coffee for £13, now that is good value. He had Lasagne and I went for Fish & Chips with Mushy peas which also cost £5.95, the Fish was moist and fresh and the batter was nicely browned and... More

Having read the reviews i decided i would try the Barge and i was not disappointed with the food at all. I always have fish, chips and peas (i know boring but that is what i like) when i eat out, the fish was cooked perfectly, the batter spot on and in general the overall plate of food was very... More

The food is good, I'd say a little better than your average gastro pub. What makes this place great is the portions and cost. I had the fajitas once and two of us didn't manage to clear the plate. They have a reasonably varied menu as well as a few specials. It is a rock and roll venue but don't... More

Visited today (12/09/13) with my wife. We had heard a couple of good reviews from other people that had been and based on the fact it's number two on Trip Advisor we were looking forward to having lunch onboard the Barge. The food was reasonably priced. I had steak pie and my wife opted for the blue cheese burger which... More
