Being a trendy and busy place, the music was obsolete as the volume of other diners was spoiling the meal. The rather loud party seemed to echo around the small dining area. Less busy it would be better or to open an outdoors dining area to place them in. We found less French cuisine on the menu and more mixed european.... More

We dined as a party of 12 for our engagement, having heard goods reports locally. The food was fab though those who had the steak found it tough and poor quality not to mention it was served without the peppercorn sauce! I had the Hake and couldn't fault it. We were ask for a pre-order to minimise the waiting time... More

Have been meaning to visit for some time now and finally made it on saturday night . First impressions were excellent , lovely place and friendly service but sadly the quality of the food didnt match . Starter of fishcakes was a let down , pretty bland in my opinion .Both my girlfriend and myself went for the steak main... More

I have eaten here on a couple of occasions, staff are always friendly and welcoming. They are currently undergoing refurbishment(23/06/14), and at the moment you have to eat at the upstairs restaurant. The choice of the menu is not over extensive which for me is a good thing, menu's can be confusing when too much choice is available. The food... More

First of all I'd point out that the service was very good. Staff prepared to accept lunch order that was not on the menu and also allow for drinks to be tasted before accepting full order. Also the the atmosphere was pleasant. We were there for lunch so it was not bustling, but I can imagine that with a lively... More

Had a lovely meal here will 4 friends. The waitress was a young girl and was do attentive and polite, really charming. Couldn't find what we wanted to drink so asked if they did Pimms as it wasn't on the drinks menu. "Oh yes we can do you a jug" the girl said, so off she went and brought a... More

Enjoyed the best lunch out here with my family. Cool surroundings, attentive and friendly staff and delicious food. Perfect for a snack or meal - difficult to choose from such a charming menu. Have to recommend the creamed leeks and wild mushrooms - served with the best poached egg I have ever tasted. Really worth a visit - just wished... More

Visited the Petit Delight for afternoon tea, to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a special birthday!! A super experience from start to finish :-). The afternoon tea was amazing- with a Parisian touch. There was so much food and choice. Would certainly recommend the Petit Delight and will be returning soon :-))

We wanted somewhere nice to bring my family to for lunch and, after reading the reviews on tripadvisor, decided to give this restaurant a try as it had a lunchtime offer as well. We weren't disappointed, despite having to eat upstairs as the kitchen was being extended. We had two delicious courses for £13.95 and really were spoilt for choice... More

We dined at the Petit Delight and chose to have our meal in the a la carte restaurant. The welcome and service from the staff was very warm and friendly. The atmosphere and music are just right. The menu was full of lots of tempting things and we had three courses. All were very well presented and delicious. The price... More
