Impromptu visit on Thursday evening, service attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, had two courses, absolute perfection. Very pleasant intimate restaurant with a fabulous menu.

Went here on valentines evening and was so glad we did. No rip off set menu here, just delicious wholesome food at reasonable prices. My husband and I had 3 courses each with a bottle of wine and a pint for just under £60. The generous starter and main course made pudding a squeeze but they sounded so tempting, we... More

We have had a few pints down stairs in the lovely Cosy warm bar, and then went up stairs to have Sunday roast beef lunch with all the trimmings it was very tasty and the service first class. I have always been told you can tell how good a pub restaurant is by the standard of the toilets and my... More

My wife and I have been visiting the Notts regularly since it came under new ownership. We have always found the food to be of a high standard with regular 'specials' to whet our appetites. The fish dishes are excellent and the smoked haddock chowder is to die for! If don't want a big meal try 2 starters, there is... More

Our friends had family visiting for the weekend, so we joined them for a meal. We had both been here before, enjoyed the meal very much and the two young waitresses were great, really good service throughout the night. This time however the food was just OK, and the lady serving us, well it just seemed like it was all a... Four of us visited this restaurant mid week. The food and service were very good it was a shame that we had to walk through the pub downstairs to get to it. There was plenty of choice and the portions were a good size. Our table was in the window which was very nice overlooking the seafront and to have... More

We have been before and been happy with the food and service , but this time was not so good. We booked a table for 6 pm on a Saturday, we asked for the wine menu and also dinner menu, on being given the food menu told that the wild boar was off because they had run out and that... More

Just a quick review, try the take away fish and chips if you are pressed for time. At £5 for a good size succulent fillet of haddock this must be an absolute bargain. You won't be disappointed.

Great local resteraunt, a great community pub with friendly staff, offering a wide choice of real ales and uncommonly good house wines. There are many compliments to be made about the food and atmosphere of the resteraunt and the bars. However, not only is the fish and Chips the best in Cleethorpes, as my wife and I agree, it is the best... More

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. There is also a great view of the pier and Cleethorpes. The smoked haddock chowder was wonderfully creamy with chunky fish and veg with a small piece of cheese on toast perched on top which made a beautifully quirky finishing touch. No need for salt and pepper... More
