Came in today on a sunny Thursday lunch with my husband. Greeted with cheery staff who quickly seated us and provided us with refreshments. Chose from the menu, lunch time special of haddock and chips. What can i say? It was mouth-wateringly good, fish was cooked to perfection! Lovely soft bread and butter served on the side. I will definitely... More

After a good walk along the seafront I thought rather than having my usual fish and chips on the front I would eat in somewhere for a change. I have heard friends talk about how good the captains table is so tries it for myself and was not disappointed. The dining room was quite busy when I arrived but I... More

Found by chance on an early season trip encompassing some of the East Coast 'seaside destinations' our visit to the Captains Table convinced us that the only real reason you need to visit Cleethorpes is to eat the Captains Table and sample some of the finest food that we have experienced for some time. Like most people we have always... More

Ate an Excellent lunch here, situated overlooking the estuary - We liked the fact that when we entered the restaurant there wasn't the obvious smell of Fish & Chips -

My partner and I visited The Captains table recently. As we walked through the door, we were greeted with friendly, smiling faces. We was seated at a lovely quiet table with romantic candles flickering under a perfect light setting and soft music playing away in the background. We both had a starter that was beautifully presented and started a little... More

You don't need a starter, the Main Meal portions are really large. We have been here several times, the food and service has always been excellent.
