I had looked forward to eating here and whilst i enjoyed the food, i ordered the seabass and a fruit crumble for dessert. I did not find it in any way exceptional. The food was good but slightly higher than average in my opinion.

We have dined (and stayed) at Northcote Manor over the last 20 years, primarily for special occasions. So, for my 50th birthday it was an obvious choice. This was our first visit since the extensive refurbishment and whilst the approach is stunning, I do prefer the previous country house feel which seemed to have more exclusivity about it, whereas I... We have been lucky enough to eat here on a number of occasions for both lunch & dinner. I can only say that is a treat every time. The food, wines and staff are always fantastic. We have also done one of their Obsession evenings which was out of this world. We will look forward to going again.

No matter how many times you visit this star in the gastronomic firmament, there is always something different to tempt the palate and one can only marvel at the imagination and expertise of Chef Patron, Nigel Hawarth. Today's service was outstanding, warm and friendly, but never intrusive and nothing was too much trouble. The food included some wonderful venison, followed... More

What a culinary delight this was and well deserving of its Michelin star. We had the 7 course taster menu and the food was outstanding. Each course was beautifully presented by very knowledgeable staff who explained each one as it was served. The 6 glass wine menu was also outstanding as each individual glass totally complimented the dish it was... More

Excellent quality hotel and food. delightful service by a young man called Sam. He was tall, handsome and so polite and caring, he helped make our experience so much more enjoyable. I think he said he was only part-time but he was like a professional.

The three of us decided to try this Michelin star restaurant . On arrival we were impressed with the buildings, grounds and cleanliness. We were shown into the bar to choose our food from the Seasonal lunch menu. We were offered drinks and one us opted to have a drink. The waitress was a little put out that all of... More

We spent a wonderful relaxing afternoon at Northcotes. We were made to feel most welcome. The food as ever was to a very high standard, indeed our youngest son Dominic said it was the "best meal he has ever had". The staff were attentive and we never felt rushed or hurried. We were not disappointed. In fact, we had a... More

See notes under hotel review. Highly recommend and well worth the drive to get there. Will look at the website for any special offers for a gourmet or overnight stay and meal so the wine list can be better sampled
