They had the trio of requirements. The food was spot on. The portion size was huge and perfect for a cold monday evening when I left I was litterally stuffed. The venue was warm and inviting and was topped off by the friendly hosts. The icecream certainly a strong contender for the top position. Great value, they have a range... More

Called in for sunday lunch, we opted for the two course special offer. The dinners came looked good, plenty on the plate then the big let down the roast beef! We visit this place regularly and not once have we had a bad meal. Service is always friendly and polite. The food is traditional pub food with ample portion sizes and is presented really nicely. I love the homemade ice cream it is worth the visit just for the ice cream alone. The atmosphere is great with log fires burning... More

The steak and ale pie was exceptionally good and with a starter included, at under £10, my lunch was very good value. If all the other pubs/restaurants... More
