An Evening with my Partner

Great food and service. The food was priced very reasonablely as the portions were on the large side. Fantastic atmosphere sitting by the fire and relaxing. This place is so busy for its location so book early. Also cater for weddings which look brilliant in the marquee.

I used to live locally and frequented the Whitewell for drinks and dinner and when we had friends staying we always visited. Thankfully we were staying locally this last weekend and had an excellent Sunday lunch. 2 couples and 2 babies in buggies were not a problem on a busy day and we were impressed with the food and ales... The Inn at Whitewell offers British classic dishes, no surprises, nothing complicated but really solid food that is a pleasure to eat. The Grilled Pork Loin Steak and Shoulder of Lonk Lamb are all excellent, although I doubt you can go far wrong with any option. In regard to service and atmosphere they aim to “offer a relaxed and friendly... More

We've been going to Whitewell for over 3 years now on very regular basis and recently had wedding reception in this amazing place. You just simply need to "get" this place. It's not one of those sleek, white, urban places - it's very traditional, old fashioned you can say, with tones of character. But this is what we love about... More

Went for lunch the other week. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I had pork loin with pork belly and crackling. The pork was so tender and sweet. The apple sauce and onion marmalade complimented the meat beautifully. Huge portion so didn't have room for what looks like lovely home made puds.

Went here on a detour from Blackpool due to my friend being keen from watching The Trip. Food was fantastic (not too my choice for vegetarians but it was brilliant nonetheless), atmosphere was apt for the countryside but the service from behind the bar was slightly odd. No smiles / thank you's or eye contact and they seemed pretty stressed... More

Lovely setting and location. Worth a drive out. Fairly limited menu and pricey. No special lunchtime deals. Roast beef open sandwich was delicious.

It's probably unnecessary to write yet another 'excellent' review of this delightful place. The setting is brilliant. Our lunch was very good. The service was courteous and friendly despite it being very busy (of course). But what made it exceptional was that I discovered a whisky I'd never heard of. When I asked the bartender about it he offered me... More

Everything and more. Excellent service. Exquisite food and menu choice. The chicken liver to start, duck for main and delicious sticky toffee pudding to finish were all perfection on a plate. Mmmm Perfect surroundings. We will most definitely return. Thank you.

Thank you for your review, very much appreciated. Sticky toffee is popular but very few have with our vanilla ice cream and that's the perfect combination. Thank you again. Regards Cb More
