Booked a table for dinner in the restaurant when recently staying over. I have eaten here numerous times and the food is always excellent. Fresh, local produce cooked and served to an exceptional standard. The beef fillet and lamb cutlets were highlights, washed down with a bottle of red recommended to us by the friendly waitress.

Been here twice recently, once we just had wine and nibbles, the second time we ate properly. Both times were spot on. Log fires everywhere, very cosy, lovely atmosphere. Couldn't fault it. The company was rather nice too! Next time we come apparently I'm walking across the stepping stones. The rooms look amazing too, would love to stay here. Fish... More

Stayed on the 3rd January this year for my wife's birthday as we have on a couple of occasions before. Stayed in the top floor room with Juliet balcony and it is everything you would want for a classy retreat to relax and take things easy. Peat fire which is lit for you no more than five minutes after requesting... More

We have been here a few time when visiting this area. The food is very good (both evening meals and lunchtimes). The location is very pleasant and the atmosphere inside was just right on a cold damp winters day.

This has been on the 'must visit' list for some time now and we finally made it and it was well worth the detours required to get there because of the recent floods. The welcome was first class and what stood out for me was the desire from the team to give you what you wanted. Although no kids meals... More

Dunlop Bridge is cited as the geographical heart of Great Britain, it lies a mile or two to the north of Whitewell but the Inn lies at the heart of Englishness. The whole ambience screams out I am English. From the 'green and pleasant land' view from the back terrace to the cricket articles in the men's loos this place... More

We have been infrequent visitors to the Inn at Whitewell for many years, and are delighted to say that it has lost none of it's charm. In truth the food is good without being exceptional, and both food and drinks are rather expensive, but the very relaxed atmosphere and the beautiful building make for a truly enjoyable experience. Above all... More

I've visited the Inn at Whitewell numerous times. Firstly with my hubby and dog for a well earned refreshment in front of a cosy fire after a beautiful walk, then for a summer's wedding which was perfect in every way. Recently though I organised a staff Christmas party and the experience was faultless. The dining team were extremely helpful in... More
