Pooped in for a snack after exploring the Trough of Bowland. Great character building but not sure about ordering food, realised after a while to order food at the Bar, OK Sandwiches! Very tasty open sandwiches served with a salad, very good pot of the Inns own coffee, all in all quite an eye opener, not cheap but value for... More

I recently celebrated my birthday here, again. It has been my request to do this for some time now as we find it to be consistently of a high standard. The food quality never lets us down and the staff have always been very courteous. It really does appear to be a family inn, from the customer point of view... More

A long-planned walking holiday in the North simply had to take in the Inn at Whitewell. I stayed in Clitheroe and drove myself up for a solo a la carte supper on a Friday night. Having booked ahead they had expected me and offered me a choice of seats so i didn't feel too out-of-place surrounded by accompanied diners. The... More

We booked a Sunday lunch for our anniversary. We were showed directly to our table. I had to go to the bar and charge our drinks to the table or I could have paid at the bar. My wife has a garlic allergy which generally limits her choice. I had a starter of pork loin terrine which was very tasty... More

We have patronised the Inne for so many years, and my father before me and my grandfather before him. Also my son and daughter are now fans - and it never fails to please. So much so, my daughter chose the Inn for her wedding - which was an impeccable event. A right choice if ever there was one! We... More

Miss the amazing food and service of years gone by at the Inn and keep returning to try and capture some of those times, the food is not what we remember and the place now feels like a wedding/conference venue, so many people love just calling in for lunch/dinner.

We have been quiet a few times and we are never disappointed yes you are hard to find but that is half the fun. Its so great to find a dog friendly place to have lunch with amazing food and the staff are so helpful. And the views from the terrace are breath taking... We will be back ....

My partner and I visited the Inn at Whitewell over the weekend and we were more than impressed. Our room was huge, but what made it for me was the bath tub (room 22). Neither of us could fault the food and I think we both agreed that the Fillet of beef for two that we shared was the best... More

Had high expectations of this place and perhaps that was unrealistic. It's in a beautiful location with stunning views. We ate in the bar which is dog friendly. Service was good and the staff are very friendly. They don't take food orders until 6.30 for dinner and it was very busy when we arrived at around 6. So we were... More

Thank you for the review, we only pre prepare what we need to, effectively cooking all to order but ensuring we can move at speed. Obviously some dishes are far quicker to cook than others. Thank you again. Regards Cb More
