We found this restaurant by chance as we were driving through the Trough of Bowland area on the way to Clitheroe. The restaurant is actually situated in a small village called Bashall Eaves and can be found on the Ribble Valley Trail. The Inn had a warm and welcoming feel and is well maintained with various seating areas. Service was... More

Lovely food, in fact the best steak I have ever had. The game selection in the menu is also constantly changing and wonderful to eat. The meat is cooked perfectly and the portion sizes are generous. You pay for a real quality meal. The atmosphere is cosy and the owners make you feel part if the family. We go probably... More

South to Hampshire for family Christmas. Power failure from 23rd to 27th pm. Eleven in the house including young children. No heat, no light and very shortly no water, no lavatory flush and flat phones. At first light on 27th buried the rotting turkey, sausages, bacon and all the trimmings in the veg. garden. Desperate for heat, light, a hot... More

We went to the Red Pump with a party of 17 one evening. Great food, good service and cosy venue. We'll be returning after Christmas.

Went last Saturday night to the red pump, It was pretty quiet (booked for 7:30). The two waitresses working were very pleasant and very professional and attentive, we were also impressed by the knowledge of the dishes on the menu and the wines by one particular young waitress. We took our two daughters and one of their friends along, we... More

Visited on a Saturday lunch, place very quiet a maximum of 2 other couples in during our drinks and food. Really nice interior and very spacious - lots of litte rooms, nooks and cranny's. Couple of decent real ales - Hawkshead Windermere Pale Ale was particularly palatable. Food very tasty and reasonably priced for a gastro pub type establishment. Gammon... More
