Great meal

We had stayed previously but not eaten in the restaurant so we decided to go back and have a meal. Fantastic steak, beautifully cooked, red wine sauce was to die for. My father in-law was looked after, chef served the plaice off the bone, "the best plaice I have ever eaten" was the verdict.. the... read more

Heard that there were new owners at this inn so decided to give it a try. We had a very good meal. I particularly liked the chowder which was delicious with very.good flavours. The vegetables were well cooked. One improvement which could be made is to provide a dish for the muscle shells and remains of the prawns together with... More

Had a fantastic meal last night at the Red Pump as part of a party of 9 The menu has a good choice with daily specials. The food is reasonably priced and the service attentive and excellent even on a busy Friday night. Good local beers available such as Hen Harrier and a good choice of wine available too. I... More

Wonderful pub and B/B very friendly staff and owner. The bed in the "Gun Room" was the best ever, it was like sleeping on clouds. Great value and lovely food, would definitely recommend and stay again over and over. A good place as a base to cover the area.

The Red Pump in Bashall Eaves outside Clitheroe is under new management and the new managers are making a very good job of it. We have now been a few times. It is getting better and better. The food is tasty and well cooked but don't expect huge helpings, just yummy food. Fran and Jonathan are very friendly and welcoming.... More

Booked the night before for a Friday evening meal for two. Warm atmosphere and friendly greeting on arrival. Our table had a view south to Pendle, and beyond to the west Pennine moors. All the dishes were excellent - chicken liver starter, steak and pork loin main, and home made desserts. The service too was first rate. Definitely on the... More

Always on the lookout for new places to try, we drove 10 miles to try out this long established pub, having heard it had changed hands. We were welcomed by friendly and efficient staff and shown to our table in the ecclecticly furnished dining room. The shin beef I had was mouth wateringly tender, my wife's fish and chips came... Called in to the Red Pump yesterday after a long walk round Dunsop Bridge with friends. There has been a change of owners since we were here last, the new owners have been in since January 2015. We were made very welcome and the atmosphere was friendly. The Inn has been redecorated and looks very nice, retaining its unique feel... More

We visited last night to celebrate out anniversary. We were greeted at the door and made welcome throughout the whole evening. The steaks we had were some of the best we have ever eaten, and were perfectly done with some really fantastic onion rings! On top of it all, we had no problem with the price we paid for our...
