Very nice

Went for a family meal. Been as a couple a few times and found very good food. Hubby and I ordered two steaks and kids ordered streak and another ordered the sausage. Couple of drinks each and three puddings it came to £98. I thought was a bit steep but didn't grumble as staff were friendly and... read more

Just had a truly excellent meal here. New owners Frances and Jonathan have totally restructured the place. Great atmosphere, and a menu which is not ostentatious or pretentious but has lots of originality and truly sensational chargrilled steaks. Jonathan sourced the meat after tasting it in London. It comes from Yorkshire and there is a commis chef Oliver who has... More

New proprietors so went to sample the menu. We had prime rib - enough to feed two and more. Melt in the mouth! The whole meal was delicious and Frances and Jonathan were so friendly and welcoming. We will be back with friends!

Been going here since Mrs Fillery and the Red Pump still continues to please. Ambience, atmosphere and relaxing evening well enjoyed; food and wines were good, prices ok - will be back

Been a couple of times and food excellent on both occasions. The pork with crispy crackling was the stand out dish and was delicious.

Such a lucky find! Staying in Gisburn, don't know the area and find a leaflet in our hotel about fishing and the Red Pump was listed. Rang up, booked and later the same evening went for dinner. Lovely warm welcome, no rush to order food, amazing menu of local produce and everything we had was absolutely delicious! And I'm reliably... More

We found this restaurant by chance as we were driving through the Trough of Bowland area on the way to Clitheroe. The restaurant is actually situated in a small village called Bashall Eaves and can be found on the Ribble Valley Trail. The Inn had a warm and welcoming feel and is well maintained with various seating areas. Service was... More

Lovely food, in fact the best steak I have ever had. The game selection in the menu is also constantly changing and wonderful to eat. The meat is cooked perfectly and the portion sizes are generous. You pay for a real quality meal. The atmosphere is cosy and the owners make you feel part if the family. We go probably... More
