I would give the Buck at Paythorne 6 stars if I could. They have catered for our family functions for years and every time have a provided wonderful and professional service. From my sisters wedding, husbands 50th, mums 60th, niece and nephews christenings and plenty more birthday meals I would recommend Rachael and Steve and their staff to take care... More

Sunday Roast at the Buck, what a selection! Nothing too much trouble and always a smile from Rachael and her staff. I had the salmon as not too keen on meat. My husband had the Lamb shank. My husband has a very good appetite and he struggled with the portions. Needless to say that we will definitely be going again.

Found this country pub on trip advisor and decided to try it out.... It proved an excellent choice! Friendly atmosphere, superb food (be sure NOT to have had breakfast as portions are very generous) and a totally relaxed approach from the staff. This will not be our last visit!

Set in The beautiful Ribble Valley. A large family group of us stayed locally for a 50th birthday. This has to be the best country pub and restaurant I have ever visited. If you are there for Saturday Breakfast its delicious, 2 courses for a fiver at lunch, fabulous value or Evening meals unbeatable taste, you will be treated to... More

The food on offer here is second to none - tons of choice, generous portions served on hot plates and always beautifully presented. The staff never fail to go the extra mile in creating a warm and welcoming family atmosphere. I would recommend The Buck over any other pub/eating establishment in the area. Keep up the good work!!

Whilst the pub is" a little off the beaten track it is well worth the detour wether wanting a quiet drink or a meal., This is one of the few authentic Country pubs that retains its atmosphere and the decor is just right retaining that country Inn feel. Having had food here several times I have never been disappointed not... More
