My partner Lee and I stumbled across the Buck Inn on a Sunday Drive, nestled in lovely country side, is has a real rural feel to the place. At first when we entered the Buck Inn we were unsure if we should have a drink or eat, however the friendly bar staff, soon sold us the menu with the offer... More

We have just discovered this pub and have had 2 meals here so far. The food has been delicious and excellent value for money. My son said that the copper dragon beer was very good and my husband and I shared a very nice bottle of reasonably priced red wine. The staff are helpful and friendly and the pub has... More

We stumbled across this pub on our way to Kirkby Lonsdale. My husband had beef on a warm ciabatta and I had creamy Lancashire cheese. We both had hand cut chips, which were to die for. The pub is quaint, which we like and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

We have been going to the buck inn very regularly for the last 2 years and thoroughly enjoy our meals. Our children and especially our grandchildren can't wait to go there to eat. Therefore I was so shocked to read one of the latest reviews, everyone is entitled to an opinion but this one is way over the top, and... More

I have just read this review about a HIDDEN JEM in the Ribble Valley and find it totally inappropriate.I have had some of the most amazing food at an incredible price at this rural well run establishment in Paythorne. The beer Copper Dragon is one of the best pints of real ale in the area, and a local who is the brewery... We went for Sunday lunch a week ago and was so impressed we returned today with the kids (grown up). The beef was melt in the mouth, roast potatoes and creamy mash, loads of fresh veg. You also get a complementary starter so two courses for £8.95 is an absolute bargain.

Visited midweek,on the basis of reviews on this site. My wife ordered burger, and I had a dish which included gammon and chicken fillet. Both dishes were overlooked, and tasteless, and accompanied by Larry chips, which were awful The beer , Copper Dragon was poor also However the most striking and biggest disappointment was the whole ambience, and arrangement of... We really are most sad and lost for words that your experience was such a disappointment. We pride ourselves on getting all aspects of the customer service and experience right and check regularly throughout their meal to make sure things are alright and the customer is more than happy with their meal, we completely understand that when things go wrong... I have recently taken weekend residence at Ribble Valley ,arriving late one evening with a very hungry family. We decended including the children, we were welcomed by Rachael who found us a table, ordered and served in super quick time. The portions do not leave much room for desert including the children's. The food is all locally sourced produce cooked... More
